Its too bad Basel drew Bayern, they've put up a hell of a fight in the CL thus far.

I can see why Bayern want to rid themselves of Robben at seasons end

From what I understand they want to keep him, but his attitude and constant injury are causing friction.

Oh there is no doubt he is a diva but unlike van Persie, Robben shows up for big games in the Champions League and in Major Tournaments for the Dutch

Very true.
Gomez with a third now, the result is sealed. Hes got to be one of the hottest strikers in the world right now along with RvP and the usual Spanish suspects.

Add in his more than respectable scoring form for Germany and his CL performances and hes gotta be up there.

Cost Marseille their goalkeeper though. Gotta watch those away goals, they can be a bitch.

I love the away goal rule. It makes both games that much more important. Great on Marseille for getting that late one to go through.

The only thing I don't like about the rule is that it continues into extra-time. I think once you get to that point it is basically an additional game that both teams need to win and will treat accordingly. As such, it is a bit unfair to give the away team a lucrative advantage if they score.
