K, so I have my course of action. I have decided I am going to replay ME2, but to do ME3 multiplayer while I finish ME2. Gonna be at 100% within the 40 hours it takes me to polish off ME2,

Just think of Cerberus Network as a bundle of different DLC stuff in one $15 purchase.

Crazy, I was under the impression that the Cerberus Network was EA's "online pass" thing. I stand corrected. For $15 I'd pass on that DLC. It was alright but nothing special. Zaeed wasn' much of a character.

those are the only DLC packs worth downloading anyways, and would be the only ones referenced in ME3 (maybe not even Overlord). i wouldn't bother with the Cerberus network

Very mild possibilities of Mass Effect 2 spoilers.

True. However, I'd take Garrus over Zaeed any day of the week. Grunt was always a mainstay in my party though. As an adept it was great having a squad mate who rarely went down. For those pesky armoured guys, Mordin worked wonders.

Its kind of weird having almost everything be the same as it was in ME2, the music is very similar, the normandy is the exact same (save some changes) and the powers/skills are almost the exact same.

So I've played for about 3hrs so far and absolutely love it. Can instantly tell I'm going to play the hell out of this game. It seems they took all the good parts of the first 2 games, and cranked them up a notch to make them awesome in the finale.
I really wish there was a way to tweak your backstory though... I lost my old savegames (my xbox was stolen when our house was broken into). I didn't think it would be an issue as far as the main plotline stuff goes... who lived/died/etc... but I'm definitely feeling like I'm missing out on some interaction with Liara, as she was my shep's love interest through both ME1&2. Plus I did the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC, so...
Oh well, I suppose if I really want to be OCD about it I could just re-play ME1 & 2... but I sank a couple hundred hours into those the first times around... don't think the Mrs. would allow me to do that again. I'll get by.

So I've been hanging onto skill points for a while now but I put some into pull last night and unlocked the double pull. Does anyone know if (and how?) you can select the two different enemies you want to target with this ability? It seems to randomly go after another target on its own.

That's what it is supposed to do, randomly go after someone else.

The targeting system is spot on, as with other spell effects in this game (singularity is leaps and bounds better due to the optimization)
Double pull, toss a warp or double pull combined with warp ammo bonus damage on lifted targets, its really strong
I am playing an infiltrator at the moment and its just not fun because frankly its too strong, changed to adept and the gameplay is great

I wonder if the Reapers would classify as "Bridge and Tunnel"?

i'm loving the tie in from the Mass Effect books to the this game. first you go to the Grissom Academy and meet Kahlee Sanders, then Kai Leng makes an appearance? awesome. i just really wish the 4th book wasn't such a turd, i hope they find a better author and continue to make more

I feel like I have played this game enough now to actually comment on it in a negative and spiteful fashion that you are all used to when it comes to video games.
Space bar doing everything is annoying as all hell. Stand next to a wall getting shot at, press space... dive away from the wall. Wanna dive away from enemy fire and then dash for cover? Press space and go into cover on the wall you are standing next to instead!
Why are the Reapers the Borg circa ST: Voyager? First two games, they're a threat with just one of them being in close proximity to you. Sovereign and Harbinger are BMFs and you can't touch em without a #### ton of planning and prep! This game? #### it, lets go to Reaper space and start pinging our sonar till they come, put on some Benny Hill music and make em chase us around the local sun! Cause that 150 units of fuel and some doodad some guy on the Citadel wanted is worth pissing off not one reaper, but three or four! I know its a war, and they're trying to get every ounce they can, but an artifact is worth this? Really? And why am I even scared of the Reapers if they move slower than molasses uphill?
Ally AI: Y U NO STAY IN COVER!? I direct 'em where I want 'em. They stay for 30 seconds and then hop out and get shot up. Yay!
Vancouver gets destroyed. #### you, Edmonton.
With all that being said, this game is getting a lot of flack from the fan boy community. Go on Metacritic and Gamefaqs and this game is getting downvoted badly. 0s across the board from angry kids who are upset that they don't get to play Mass Effect 1 again, or that X died and Y wasn't a playable character. There is also a healthy amount of hate simply because this is an EA game. I think EA needs to stop the Day 1 DLC crap. It bugs me, but I am giving Bioware the benefit of the doubt, since they say it was started after the core game development finished, they just happened to get it done on time for release. It may be in their best interest start delaying this stuff a month or so, even if it is done.
This game is a solid 8 - 8.5 out of 10. All hate aside, they improved the weapon selection and customization, re-added some of the RPG elements. There are some complaints about decisions from previous games not making much of a difference but I can give a solid example of that not being the case.
The multiplayer has a balance issue, but since it's team work based it doesn't bug me much. So I'll never kill as much as a biotic with certain skills, oh well. Gimme the readiness % and I'll be on my way. It does direly need a chat program though. Not everyone plays with sound on and not everyone has a mic. I don't know how many times I've stared dumbfounded as an ally runs into a kill-zone to try and get a melee kill only to get shredded by cross fire. Even if my warnings wouldn't stop them, I'd like the ability to rage at them for being dumb.
