Default The Vintage Motorcycle Thread!

With all the warm weather I'm getting the itch to get my license and buy a ride! I've been looking at some vintage bikes and would love to find an R series BMW, Ural/Dnepr or a Triumph....although maybe my first bike should be something altogether different! What do you guys think? Show off your bikes you've been hiding in the garage over winter!

I'm just a dreamer at this point but if I had my choice it would be something like a Norton Commando Cafe Racer.

The current ones are pretty awesome too.

I know nothing about bikes and didn't even make it to post #2 without having to say that thing looks so awesome. It's like the unholy amalgamation of I-Robot and Johnny 5.

Well done!

Well I wish I could own the bike in that picture but i'll have to save a few more pesos to get it! btw - the bike pictured is an BMW r-27. I believe there is one a black one on kijiji right now for around 7000.00.

Not quite vintage but this model was one of my first bikes and perhaps my favorite. A 67 250 Ducati Scrambler.

Any Cper's own a Dnepr or a Ural? What are the differences between them? They both seem like the same copy of the BMW.

It looks very similar to this bike which is a 1937 Indian Sport Scout.
