Is the new Hipster thing to hate on Origin? It isn't that bad that you should be boycotting ME3 because of it.
PC gamers are really on a whole other level of hipster.

Vote with your wallet and don't purchase it. I'll purchase ME3 as soon as it's on Steam - until then, they'll get no money from me.

Yes, it is. I just lack impulse control.

I am trying to get Origin going on my computer and am having a hell of a time. First 2 tries the installer freezes. 3rd try it works and I make an account, but Origin log in says it is incorrect and won't accept it. I have them email me a code to change the password and the code never comes. I have been trying to install ME3 for almost an hour now and don't even have Origin going. My first experience with Origin is currently overwhelmingly negative.

Anyone have any experience about how they are handling ME1 and ME2 decisions for ME3 if you don't have a saved game on your profile?

Trouble importing my custom Shepard's face...had to redo it...even more handsome than before.
Anyone else notice in the opening scene at Alliance's base on earth how it looked like the Vancouver trade and convention center on the water just outside?
The whole scene looked like it was the Vancouver harbor with the mountains just on the other side of the water.
*edit* Well ####, looks like I was right:

So today I go to pickup my pre-ordered copy of ME3 collectors edition only to find out the guy that initially took my order 5 months ago had it for PS3 and not Xbox 360 as I intended. Anyone know what #703414 represents for Game Stop? I'm curious if this was for PS3 or 360? Anyways, now I have to find a copy somewhere else but everyone doesn't seem to be selling any... Arhg!

It has nothing to do with Origin being cool to hate, it has to do with liking all our digital distribution games being in the same place, and that if the game (and DLC) doesn't go on Steam, then we don't get Steam sales. If Origin had the ME1 and ME2 DLCs 75% off about four times a year, then I might begin to accept it. Fact is that there has never been a DLC sale for any Mass Effect on PC (except maybe BW points once in the US only).
If EA can't get their pricing right, I'm gonna give them as little of my money as possible.

I have three main reasons to wait for the game to become available on Steam: the Origin interface, my experience with Origin and that brutal Star Wars mmo, and the fact that I wish to keep all my PC gaming on Steam.

Same
Also factoring the issues with EA's EULA, its a pretty easy decision to skip Origin and wait for a Steam version.

The eyeballs on my Commander Shepard are clipping through her eyelids, it is VERY distracting.

If you bought ME3 you got BF3 for free, seems like there more than generous. Not that I am disagreeing with you though, I hate EA as well and don't use Origin (I use all Steam games too), but it's silly to boycott the game because of some DLC.

..those of you HATE EA...what's your opinion of Activision? I feel like EA was despicable during the PS2/Xbox generation, but have corrected a lot of wrongs with their development process this generation whereas Activision is making all the same mistakes EA did during last generation.

Activision is pretty terrible, but most of the hate is mainly from the stupid things their CEO says. He's been muzzled much more often lately so you don't constantly see them pop up in the news. That being said, EA won't be able to repair their reputation the way they keep doing things.

EA may be buttholes, but they are much better than they were a few years ago. Activision has almost no redeeming qualities how ever. There are maybe 1 or 2 games a year that I want from them and I hesitate every time.
This is a ME3 thread though, and yeah you don't punch that reporter, you headbutt her.

so i'm finally in control of the Normandy to do as i please, and i'm liking what i'm seeing so far. the game seems like a very fine blend of ME1 and ME2 so far, taking what i liked from the second one and expanding it with more choices similar to the first (the new weapon management system is fantastic). can't wait to see what's in store for the rest of the game, as the story seems awesome so far
oh and FYI, please put any story sensitive information in spoilers, because i know i won't be able to resist coming back to this thread
