Wild Continue To Roll.

The Minnesota Wild appear to have finally found the chemistry that eluded them for most of the 2005/2006 CPHL season.

The question now is does GM Farhall have the mental discipline to NOT muck too much with the lineup.

The Wild hammered the Dallas Stars 7-1 on Tuesday evening, going 4 for 5 on the powerplay and getting scoring from all areas.

Daniel Sedin led the way with 4 points, while Iginla, and Alex Frolov had 3 points. For Iginla, his 59th goal leaves him just 3 shy of equaling the all time record of 62 held by Milan Hejduk. Moreover, the winger took over the scoring lead in the CPHL over the injured Sergei Samsonov.

After the game Farhall deflected attention from the chase for the record.

”The reality is that most of the goals and points came when Iggy was playing for other teams this year. Certainly it will be a nice moment for our fans but the focus of the team right now is the division”.

In other notes, rookie Rusty Olesz scored his first ever CPHL goal late in the third.

Radek Dvorak found his form tonight scoring 3 goals. This is his 3rd hat trick of the season. Dvorak now sits 4th overall in goal scoring and 9th in overall points. He's been our MVP this season. Dallas Drake scored his first goal as a member of the Canucks. Brian Campbell also had a strong game, notching 3 assists. The Canucks are headed to Quebec City and will play the Nords tomorrow night.

Oil win another

This time in the shark tank. With a narrow three – two win.

After a brief three day vacation the Oil where back in action to head up a six game in six day marathon. The first stop was the Shark tank where young Jeff Carter recorded his first CPHL career hat trick, scoring all three Oil goals tonight. That was all the Oil needed as Martin preserves the win.

Sharks Roman Cechmanek, not named a game star was equal to the task as the Oil fired 39 shots at him. Jay Bouwmeester fired seven shots alone from the blue line, Hossa one the premier snipers in this league had three shots from in close, but Roman was good on this night. Keeping the score three – two.

Notes:

Joel Andresen continues to earn his call up to the big league as he and Grigorenko fight to a draw.

Martin earns his fourty-seventh win…… yes 47

Panthers Trip Up Coyotes in a 5-3 Win

Kirk Maltby is a star. Since coming to Florida, Maltby has been on fire. He once again carried the load by scoring 2 goals while playing on the 1st and 3rd line for the Panthers. The Panthers have been shorthanded since Handzus went down with an injury so Maltby has stepped it up and taken control of this team.

"I am good" said Maltby.

Jackets and Wings. 1 point seperated the two teams and we end up with a stinking tie. The injury to Marco Sturm has hurt the team alot more than I thought he would. Since getting Sturm and when he is in the lineup the Wings are 9-2-1. With him hurt the team is 1-3-1-1. Detroit still looking to add a player or two to try and snag a playoff spot.
