I use a thumb trackball mouse, so my perspective may be a bit skewed. I drive with the WASD buttons. Aiming and shooting is pretty easy, as I'm not trying to use my mouse to drive, just shoot. If I'm a long ways off, I usually just zigzag in on them. If I'm in the mood for some amusing fun, I just drive a decently tight circle around them while shooting it. It can't keep up with you, so can't ever really hit you.
Ah. I'm using the 360 version, not the PC version. I guess that could account for the difference. (or I just suck)
Well, after finishing ME1 and doing about the first hour of the second game...why anyone would want to skip the first game and just play the second is beyond me. The entire opening scene and sequence would make zero sense if you're just jumping in I'd imagine.
Don't get me wrong, it's an incredibly awesome way to open the game (going up the main deck of the Normandy and the door opening into space...wow) but I feel like some of the significance of the event would be lost on those who haven't played the first game. Plus you're missing out on the great story from the first game.

I have to say that ME1 was the first game that completely addicted me in the opening two minutes. Just seeing your character striding through the command deck heading up to see Joker was so immersive.
However it doesn't match the sheer terror of the ME 2 intro

The first game makes the second one so much better. It is the little things like coming across characters you meet in the first. The intro to 2 was probably the best part of the game.
I'm looking forward to this leaking. I'll purchase this game when it comes to Steam - I refuse to use Origin as a distribution platform. Until it does, EA won't get my money.
TIL people still purchase guide books after the invention of the internet
I guess I could see people buying them for collectors purposes. The last guide I bought was for Marvel vs Capcom 3 because I like having the frame data handy.

That trailer gave me goose bumps. I can't wait to play this game. My only regret is I choose to kill that queen bug thing from the first game. I heard she comes back to help Shepard later.

Thankfully I saved the Rachni Queen. I just can't remember what I did do the Geth that Legion and I took on in ME 2.

Yeah, I let the Rachni Queen live in ME1 and she sent a messenger to thank me in two.
I also let the Geth live in the second game and had Legion change their programming so they would become more right thinking, I think I might really regret that decision as it looks like humanity is still at war with the Geth.
I saved Wrex in the first game so I should have those #######s on my side in the new game too.
I'm getting really excited about this game, and the decisions that I hadn't even though about beyond my party that could effect things.
I decided that humanity should be on the council and let the council ship burn in the first game as well, that might not be a good thing.

it appears i might have a sealed version for sale on release date of this game (i have a preorder at eb games, can switch it to other games but don't want any coming soon) so i could probably sell the sealed game for 50$ if anyone wants it. (either ps3 or 360, whichever u want)
Amusingly enough...watching that latest trailer gives me a bit of hope that the culmination of the romance arcs might be better, akin to the ones in ME1 instead of the awkward ones in ME2.
