It's been a strange year for student council members in Alberta. First a guy embezzles 27K from the Alberta School of Business, now this...

I feel sorry for her. She probably turned to a life of crime because she has a low self worth and poor self esteem.

Years of teasing and isolation leads to mental health issues.

I'd be more sympathetic towards her if she would have learned her lesson after stealing an SUV in 2008.

That should have been her wake up call to get some help.

But it seems she didnt learn her lesson.

She belongs in jail now. Maybe she will get the help she needs now.

Because she's fat you think she has a low self-esteem and self worth?

I don't know about you, but all the fatties I know think they're 110 pounds with the confidence they have.

Huh, she was elected to the MRU student council as president, oh those #######s teased her by voting for her.

they were probably going to drop a bucket of pigs blood on her after she was elected prom queen, the final step in a evil plan to boost her confidence before destroying her.

Soooo

1) Pick fat chick
2) rig the vote she becomes president
3) Set up the moonlight under the sea dance
4) Make sure whe gets asked out by the Quarterback for the MRU football team
5) We don't have an MRU football team . . . frack
6) Start an MRU football team, go on national recruiting trip for hottest non gay QB in country
7) QB asks her out to the moonlight under the sea dance
8) Rig the vote so that she wins prom queen
9) Cummulation of 4 year half million dollar plan to destroy fat chick by dumping pigs blood on her head
10)

Crap

Robbing a bank is pretty dumb on the criminal chart...too much risk and not enough reward (and a lot harsher penalties).

This is why Canada is a backwater country. Melnyk could never be a border guard in Ukraine.

ABC News from Chicago just called into our media relations department to get info on this story.

Media outlets from all over Canada are also calling in for details as well.

From the above link from City TV:

Clad in a simple t-shirt, her look was a far cry from her former put-together-president style.

Oh A-Channel City TV, pumping up the tires on a story that doesn't need it.
Its not as if she was using Air Force One and getting chauffered around from her guarded compound.

The bigger (pun firmly intended) question in all this is how did she become President? Again, Student Elections aren't the most scientific example of the democratic process, but there had to be some hook that got her more votes then the (fairly safe assumption) poli-sci guy who wore a sport coat with everything and the treehugger who wore Tevas and carried her BPA-free water bottle around.

I don't think student body involvement is the in thing for students nowadays. Most cool guys would be at the dorm trying to make the next Facebook leaving hardly anybody running for student council seats.

I would of said that with low turnout in student elections she had gotten her friends to vote for her. After looking at her pictures she obviously has no friends and I too am at a loss for how she got elected.
