IMO yes. The iPhone version is amazing, and so far using the iPad app is excellent as well.

Another recommendation for tweetbot. The iPad app is just as great as the iPhone app and they just updated the iPhone version with a bunch of new features.

It does several things I really love.
- Tweetmarker integration so if you use twitterific on your computer, tweetbot on your iPhone and tweetbot iPad on your iPad, the timelines will be synced.
- 2 sections on the main nav are customizable, so if you want them to be a search, favourites, retweets or list button it can be
- The breaks in the timeline (sections of unloaded tweets) will load and position you wherever you prefer. I hate loading a section of tweets only to have to scroll to find my position. Whether you want to be at the top of the loaded list or bottom is dependant on where you position the break when you tap it.
- You can mute users for a certain length of time (great for Sundays if you hate football)
- It never seems to have crashes or lost sections in the timeline
- swipe left on a tweet to see the conversation (if there is one), or swipe right on a tweet to see replies
- tap the timeline title to change to a list

I was able to get the Siri hack to work on the iphone 4 but I cannot seem to change the keyboard around. Anyone changed keyboards or pass along a few tips on how to? Any decent keyboards to use?

I'll look into this boxcar thing - maybe it can do what i'm looking for.

Any solution to this in 1.5 years! Switched from blackberry to an iPhone and totally miss bedside mode!

Can anyone recommend a good iOS RPG? Preferably something freeish or cheap. The Final Fantasy RPGs seem quite expensive in the App Store and I'm not sure I'm prepared to pay so much for something on this platform I don't know if I will like.

What kind of RPGs are you into? Probably best to tell me what titles you have enjoyed in the past and I can recommend an iOS clone game. Ie "Dragon Warrior 1" = "Guardian Saga", "Bard's Tale" = "SilverSword"... and if you were into Wizardry, that is available for free... for the first two levels. Enough to see if you like the game or not.
If you were into SNES style RPGs there is Ash:

For a more Baldur's Gate feel, there is "Companions".
And the one I bought this morning was "Time of Heroes" which is supposed to be "Final Fantasy Tactics"-esque.

I was a big fan of Final Fantasy on the NES and SNES and Dungeons and Dragons (Eye of the Beholder I and II) on the ol' 486.

Yeah, there's not much in the "build your party of warriors, monks and mages" NES style RPGs. You could try Phantasy Star II, Eternal Legacy (more FF10 type graphics), or Shining Force. They are all on my iPad, but none were as engrossing as the FF titles.
Drawback to FF games on the iPad is the stupid D-pad. If I could hook up an NES controller to the iPad to play these games, life would be good.
There is a list of iOS RPGs here... you can see if anything strikes your fancy:

If you are looking for something to take over your life, Tiny Tower is surprisingly addictive. I can't explain why this stupid little game gets so much of my attention but it does. Essentially you build a tower, stock and sell goods, save up for new floors and assign citizens to work in the shops. Managing my tower has become my go-to activity whenever I need to kill 5 minutes.

Hero Academy has a big update today. They've added a new board (free for everyone) and a new team. There's also been some balancing to a few of the units too although I'm not sure how that works. No wifi in my building so I'll have to wait until later to try it out.

I have been playing for about 3-4 weeks now. Crazy addictive.
I like it because, unlike other games of it's type, you can play any amount of time and always have something to do. Run a few guys up an elevator, stock your floors, costume code your floors to make collecting tower bucks easier, or cycling through "bitizens" to make every employee so they are working at a dream job. The more you play, the bigger your rewards are (more VIP's, more tower bucks), but you don't feel penalized if you are not playing constantly.
68 floors in right now, and I have finally perfected my system.

ALL ABOARD!

I was at 75 or so floors and I deleted the game. It's really addictive and my OCD for getting people into their perfect jobs, colour coding the citizens, moving floors, etc. was going to drive me mental and was eating more and more time.
It's definitely fun though.

You are an a-hole. I thought I was wasting enough time as it was on my phone until I downloaded this thing last night.

I'm trying to get to 100 floors on Tiny Tower (86 currently) but it's become quite the treadmill. I stopped caring about naming my shops, stopped trying to get dream jobs. Basically twice a day I restock and let it do its thing. Not sure if I'll make it anymore...it's just not as fun as it was at first.

Key to making fast money on tiny tower is having an easy system (colour coding or costumes) to determine where each employee is at any given time, then each find a guy task takes only a couple seconds. For me, I put everyone who works on a floor into a costume that relates to the floor (ie a Ghost in the Haunted House, or Bees in the Floral Studio). Then they are either on that floor or in their residence. This gives you a good supply of tower bucks.
Next, use those tower bucks to maximize your big spenders. Get one,or more if you actively play a lot, floor that has high capacity and make them all dream jobs. Only ever fill the 3rd tier item and whenever you get a big spender, hurry the production along and direct him to that floor.
Currently, I earn 90k per spender with my level 54 architect office with a maximum cost of 18 tower bucks.
