Lewis is more of a team guy then you think. He should be seeing the ball 8-12 times a game, yet he is not. We have had an abundance of talented receivers, and he gets his and keeps on rolling. Simon is a whiner and a me first player.

Well I think he's not a team player at all so I guess that is certainly possible, lol.

This sounds like a team player to me:

Quote:
“I’m more frustrated than disappointed. I’m frustrated at the lack of production. I’m frustrated at the lack of my influence over the offence. Either ya’ll think I’m too good. Or I’m really not that good. I haven’t had a ball thrown my way in the second half for two weeks in a row. We can watch film, and if I’m doing something wrong, then I need to correct it. But, I mean, I went against the same guy I went against in the first half. It’s frustrating.

“Hey, watch the film. You’ll see it. Two weeks in a row? And it’s more frustrating when you see (Montreal’s) Jamel Richardson go get 10 catches, 11 catches. Or (Edmonton’s) Fred Stamps getting 13 catches. And I get three in the first half, just like last week, and then I disappear.

“I don’t know what to say. I don’t know what I need to do better. But if I’m doing something, then they need to tell me I’m doing something wrong, and then I an correct it. If that’s not the case, then something has to change.

“You see it. When (B.C. defensive back) Korey Banks comes up to you after the game and says, ‘Tell them thanks for not throwing you the ball’ . . . People see what I do in this league. At least an attempt. No attempts? It is what it is.”

Fantuz catching passes from Burris will take time to get used to.

Fantuz won't be catching anything if Burris can't regain his magic in years of past.

I was actually going to post when I first read that, Fantuz will have to get used to watching the ball sail 10 yards over his head. Or have it thrown into tripple coverage while he's wide open in the endzone.

He won't really have to get used to it as he has had Darian Durant throwing him the ball for the last few years.

Well he didn't play last year and the year before he led the league in receiving yards and won most outstanding Canadian. All while watching passes fly over his head.

Nice try though, chump.

Fantuz certainly put up some big numbers in Saskatchewan as I'm sure he will in Hamilton but that doesn't mean Durant is an accurate passer.

Doesn't that strengthen Chumps argument?

If Fantusz won the awards and made the receptions with Durant throwing him the ball he should be fine with a much better QB in Burris throwing him better passes.

How does your opinion of the 2 QBs strengthen his argument?

It's about 50/50 at this point that Burris is washed up and he has a reputation for bad throws and picks in the end zone.

It was a joking shot at Burris. I'm not sure what it has to do with Durant. Other than a couple of over sensitive stamps fans can't stand to have shots taken at Burris and feel the need to fire insults at the Riders.

Hmmm. I wonder why neither of you took shots at Ozy Flame's team when he said Burris might be washed up. Oh wait...

It has to do with Durant because he throws much worse passes than Burris and it seems that Fantusz was able to catch those balls/get BS PI calls while with the Riders.

It isn't taking shots at the Riders but pointing out that they have a crappy QB who struggles to hit the broad side of a barn.

I think my opinions on the Stamps have been made pretty clear not sure I need to rehash them in this thread that is about the CFL in general.

Well I think Burris sucks and that invalidates your opinion, so there!!!!

See how stupid that is? It is called your opinion moon. You love Burris, you hate all things Riders including Durant.

Skill never had anything to do with it.

Then why are you continuously stating your opinion as fact? You stated as a fact that Burris is a much better QB. That is your opinion.

Where did I state it as fact?

It isn't 100% fact but clear to anyone who isn't a Rider homer.

as a non Rider or Stamps or Ticats homer I can say that Durant and Burris are cut from the same cloth. This is like arguing coke vs pepsi. They're both QBs whos best days are behind them and are far too inconsistent and cant make proper reads. Without Fantuz this upcoming season things will only be worse for Durant. On the other hand, Fantuz may make Burris look better as he made Durant look better whilst in Saskabush
