My wife and I will be taking our son out to the Fan-Attic to get him some more Flames gear (clothes) and then off to Grandma and Grandpa's house for dinner.

It feels great to be a Dad.

What is/is not open on Family Day? Are Government of Canada offices open, since it is only a Provincial holiday? I would like to know since I may be heading to Calgary tomorrow to rent storage space for my move next weekend.

Yes, I believe that Federal offices are open, including Passport Offices.

I am going to go do some snorkeling around lunch time for a couple hours, then meeting some friends for lunch on the beach. Hopefully get some wakeboarding in after lunch.

anything that is a federally regulated industry should be open since it is not a federal holiday.

excellent.

I was contemplating bringing my laptop, but since the Libraries are likely to be closed, I am not sure where to get internet access. However, if the Government of Canada buildings are open, I suppose I can look there, since I will be meeting with a couple of employers.

Go to Water Solutions. They have good deals on all kinds of water filtration systems, including cooler/heater installation. My buddy used to work there, and he was really good at his job. I'm not exactly sure who the lead technician is now though.

Its all good Jets, I am an HVAC Mechanic, put in a tankless system in a customers house and he just wanted the old tank out of his basement. Its only 5 years old and my tank is from.....1988? So, free tank and only cost is some fittings and my time = win for Frank!
