I remember reading something that a lot of advertising during sports is geared toward women, because while there are more men than women watching sports, women pay more attention than men during commercials. The psychology behind it was something like that people pay more attention to commercials that come on during shows that they're bored by than in shows that they're entertained by. So if there's a lot of bored women out there who are watching football because their guy is watching football, it's the perfect time to hit them with an ad for some female-oriented television.
So I expect my man to look like David Beckham when he next time he enters the bedroom.

I listen to Jack FM at work, and there is this one Shaw commercial where the girl talking is autotuned because she is now used to fast speeds or some BS... every time i hear it i have to turn off my speakers...so annoying.
I was just going to post this, only commercial more annoying is Lux Windows.

Thank-you. They run it on 960 too, as well as a version where a guy is autotuned. Its beyond annoying and it makes me kill the radio immediately. Auto tune is the worst invention of the electronic age, and is killing us slowly and painfully. The only thing worse are the young people that actually like it and therefore perpetuate the stupidity. Lux Windows, which I've bitched about before, is gut wrenching, but at least I can kill the radio when I hear the strings at the beginning of the ad before that drag queen comes on (Jock Wilson?)......end rant

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
On the FAN960 it sounds like every commercial now is voiced over by the same guy. I started hearing him during those AutoValue Autoparts commercials and now he seems to be in every one. I don't like his weird voice.

The Hopestreet radio commercials are generally crap with the old tyme hillbilly harmonica jingle music, but the new one where the man and woman are talking about trying to find a rental by "driving around a neighborhood we like and looking for signs" is a new low. The phony laughing they do in it has makes me change the station. "ha ha" - switch.

Arbour Lake Dental which has probably been stated earlier in this thread, the Miller brother's can go away anytime. Also, a relatively new commercial with "Dave Moet" CEO of some local financial institution, terrible.

yes...there are plenty of commercials that sound annoying from start to finish (e.g. Autovalue, Shaw Autotune) but this one totally slips under the radar until those two ludicrous fake laughs. I'm trying to imagine how whoever put it together listened to it for the first time and was like "yep, that was a good take, we'll go with that one...hehehehehe"
if they're trying to be annoying so I remember the name of the company they failed that too, cause the only thing I can remember is the laugh.

There's a commercial on the radio right now for Esso Double points or something, and the lady is talking baby talk in it. Have to turn the radio off when I hear that one. Drives me nuts.
