A couple of the girls are at each others throats already, that should be good for some drama. I laughed the most when that guy was stealing all of the girl's stuff at the beginning, that was pretty good.

Yup, if the men play their cards right they can sit back and wait for the merger while the women rip eachother apart. Even when the guys did poke the bear (equipment stealing, not sharing fire, taking the easy challenge win) the women still ended up fighting within their tribe.

Definitely more eye candy that previous seasons- except that former cop older lady yeesh.
I think Colten is going to get on my nerves sooner than later but with the hidden immunity it makes things more interesting if the guys ever have to go to tribal.

I like how none of the women paid attention to the "land on your back with your arms in" suggestion. One broken wrist, one face smash, one almost broken ankle. Awesome.

Did the former cop land on her face as well? Not exactly sure what happened but she looked even more haggard after that.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it was her that landed on her face, either that or she kneed herself in the face.

To me that was one of the more interesting starting Survivors in a long time.
We had the Rupert moment where the guys stole the girls supplies.
We had a tribe that's already flying apart at the seams and they're getting completely played. No fire help, no food help, the men took the easy win.
I don't understand why you would give up the immunity idiol so early in the game without knowing everything about the other camps alliances, its a long way to the merge.
The injuries were hilarious, ok I felt sorry for the one who destroyed her wrist stupidly because she seemed like a nice girl and getting hurt in the first challenge not as cool as an obvious winner falling into a fire.
But the cop basically destroying her face was hilarious.
Tribal council reminded me of my family dinners growing up where my sisters would yell at each other to shut up and quit lying.
Hilarious stuff.

I think the card said she had to give up the idol by that nights tribal council.
That what the girlfriend told me after I asked the same question anyways...She could have been lying to me.

I musta missed that.
That's a weird Idol condition.
I do like the fact that redemption Island is gone, it will get rid of the stupid I wanna sacrifice myself thing that Ozzie pulled last year.
I would be willing to bet that tribes will be allowed to trade players before the merge.

No she's not messing with ya, I heard that too... I guess it's to ensure the immunity idol stays in play? Like the guys can't find the girls idol and just hoard it away or risk having some one voted off with the other tribes idol?

They really need to add sound effects to the show.
When what's her name did the awkward wrist breaking fall they should have added the Wilheim screem followed by Waaa waaa waaaaaaaaaaa

That's exactly it. There are two idols (at least that we know of), one for each tribe. She was lucky to find an idol so quickly like that, but unlucky because she found the Manono idol intead of her tribe's idol. The card basically said "congrats for finding an idol, too bad it's not your tribe's idol, now you have to give it to somebody on the other tribe before tonight's tribal council".
My brother and I both felt like it was stupid to give it to Cumbie. If she truly wants to win the game, she should already have her endgame on her mind and should've given it to one of the men whom she believes will still be around at the merger. Somebody who won't forget the good deed you did for them and will be both willing and have the actual power and ability to return the favor later in the game.

Or on the other side of the coin, she could have given it to someone she wants gone and then rat them out saying they have an idol.

I think the way she played it was pretty smart, and has me pissed off because I like that guy and don't want him to go home. Max is that his name? The tall buff dude... wait their whole team is tall and ripped, except Lief, short and ripped.
The guy team seems to be gelling really well so far, with the exception of Colten (?). Even Troyzan and Tarzan were chummy chummy during the building scenes despite the preview I kept seeing of them at each others throats.
I think that Kat's IQ must be below 60, watching her at tribal was like watching a crack head in a room full of Cops. Chelsea might be the best looking girl the show has ever had, while Kimberly has a pair of legs that do not quit.. wow. Kourtney was super cute and seemed very sweet, too bad she had to go out like that.
I can't say that if I had a broken wrist that required surgery I would have been able to finish either.
Also what was with the girls trying to get on the mens case about taking the easy win? Troyzan said it best, if the shoe was on the other foot there would be NO WAY that the girls would let the guys keep going. Zero chance.
Great first episode.
