That was a pretty good episode. Rick has a fast draw -- I guess since he was Sheriff, he has to have one.
Looks like there's going to be a war in the next episode.

Oh hey, new characters, I wonder how this will pan ouuuoh my god!
lol@ Rick's a ##### and Rick's not a leader. Let characters development and come into their own. That little moment where the new guy reaches for the booze behind the counter, and Rick is still ready was awesome.
Great start to the 2nd half of the season.

Dale: I just KNOW that Shane killed Otis. He shot him and used him as bait so he could escape from the walkers!
Lori: Do you have any proof?
Dale: .... No.

I PVRd it- was there a preview for next week's episode?
I agree- a few clues in what was said:
"Those your vehicle s outside?"
When they first walked in they said something like "Oh, they are alive." As if somebody had scouted the bar and thought they saw walkers inside.

There was an ad aired during the comic book show.

I had a feeling they were going to kill them when they started talking about the farm.

I think the old man is starting to realize that Rick is ready to do what it takes to protect his family.

Dale's character is so useless. All he does is stand on top of his RV, fix his radiator (pointed out by Shane) and hate Shane.
I hope Shane kills him soon.

Yep, the scene in the bar shows that these guys know how to write/direct/act good TV.
I'm surprised it took them this long to start really exploring the notion that other groups may be the biggest threat. Much more so than the walkers.

I don't know. I kind of like Dale. He's sort of that mental support for everyone. I think in the end, if he were to somehow die, everyone would miss him for what he does.

He was the mental support for Andrea but now her character is getting more independent and plus with him having no proof that Shane killed Otis I think his character for the rest of the season is going to get repetitive trying to convince everyone that Shane is going crazy.

Dale's character has great instincts, he picks up on just about everything.......and is usually right.
He may not have proof of what Shane did, but he is bang on with his hunch.
Plus, he had the balls (or stupidity lol) to confront Shane about it, even though he had no proof.
Also, he had the balls to to sit with Andrea when she was going to stay and die at the CDC. His ballsy moved saved her bacon there.
Shane's character is definitely interesting, and a key component to the show.....but I wouldn't want that guy anywhere near me or my family in a "zombie apocalypse". He's selfish, cold blooded and dangerous.

Anyone else think Merle might be in this gang of people that just showed up this episode? I think that would be pretty neat.
Also, that would downright suck if the disease has gone airborne like they mentioned in The Talking Dead.

Never thought of the Merle thing but that would be a great twist.

The scene with the new guys at the bar was great. They really captured an uneasiness between the two groups and just the sense that those guys had some less than admirable intentions without actually saying it.
