Default Energy Drinks

What are the best Energy Drinks in terms of effectiveness and flavor for some of you?

Lately I've been using NOS, and they work pretty well. The standard blue can is the best IMO

At times I use Monster as well, I made the mistake of getting a fruit mixed one once, almost vomited. The blue or green cans are the better ones, not the fruit .. lord no.

Not a fan of Red Bulls, almost give me a funky after taste.

One of the best ones I ever had was Bawls. Apparently you can still get them at Memory Express here in Calgary, but I haven't gone yet to get any.

So, what do you use?

I've never tried Rockstar, and I will fully admit it's only because the can and logo just seem so douchy.

I like the taste of regular Monster, but for actual energy regular Red Bull works best for me.

I spent the last 36 months having a Red Bull every morning.

I've recently stopped after realizing it was costing me $55 a month.

Do people pay $55 a month for coffee?

Easily, probably double that in a lot of situations.

In terms of cost, I always try to have some at home, the four pack you can get at Wal-Mart or Superstore, instead of paying almost four bucks at the corner store.

I used to drink Amp all the time.

Now I drink 5 Hour Energy. I find that "energy" from it lasts longer, and I don't get the crash like I did from Amp. Yes, I know I sound like the commercial, but it's true.

My favourites are the XEnergy drinks. They aren't as easy to find as Red Bull or Monster, but Co-op, 7-11 and Macs all carry it. The Rockstar with the red logo isn't bad either, but it's pretty sweet. The XEnergy drinks are all sugar free which is nice.

I really should be cutting back but I hate the taste of coffee so this is my caffeine fix in the mornings.

Energy drinks don't really do anything for me for some reason, unlike a cup of coffee which can pick me up most times I drink it.

I was actually trying to find one of these drinks that might give me a kick and found a fairly interesting site on the topic although it's a little dated.

The orange is the best.

I made the mistake of slamming back 4 of these in one sitting. I thought my heart was going to beat right out of my chest.

This is why I have specifically avoided Rockstar, lol.

I'm slightly horrified by this thread. I've had a couple of redbulls in my life and once had a monster. Nuclear horse piss with all the worst side effects.

The terminology is interesting. These products are 'used' rather than consumed.

I fear for your hearts.

edit: but I used to farkin' love Jolt, so, don't take this as a debbie downer post.

Jolt was amazing, it kept us kids wired during one "Wake-A-Thon" in elementary.
