Calgary woman brutally assaulted in Mexican resort

Do you think the Mexican police would actually frame some guy when their biggest witness (the victim) was face to face with him and may be able to identify if it's him or not? It's an odd story, but it would totally hurt their reputation if this lady, drunk or not, came out and said it wasn't the guy. It's very likely him.

I still cant figure out why to this day, she was out having drinks or doing whatever, while her husband was sleeping. Even more so on the first night.

I have a friend who is in the plastic surgery field here and she says that this woman had to receive 93 screws in her face to put her back together. They hadn't seen anything like it except for an accident victim that had gone through a windshield a few years back.

It's already hurting their reputation with the local they've arrested admitting to the local press that they've forced a confession out of him from a crime they didnt commit.

Why the Nabbs havent said anything yet? Perhaps the Mexican tourism board offered a nice settlement for the medical bills and for them to keep their mouths shut

It is good to hear that she is recovering but there are still unanswered questions in this case. It took the mexicans a week to get the mexican guy, but they can't find his Canadian buddy. Still no clarification on the McNabb's version of what happened......

I was thinking about Mazatlan today and remembered this case. Does anybody know what ever happened to Sheila Nabb and/or her alleged Mexican attacker? Has she ever spoke to the media about the incident?

i don't recall hearing anything where the Nabbs offered up thier version of what happened that night.

Last I heard the attqacker was (not surprisingly) back peddling on his "confession".

the whole event is obviously unfortunate for the Nabbs - but I woulf guess the questions will never really be answered......

personally, i'dstill book a mexican vacation - but i'd just make sure that if I was without clothing that I'd stay in the room.

it is odd thou that the case has just disappeared. I know it has not for the Nabbs, it will most likely always be at the forefront for them, but it's wierd that there has not been any follow up from the media. You would think that if buddy did not do it, she would be making a comment. Perhaps she has no recolleciton of the events.

Last I heard she had been released from the hospital, but still faced more facial surgery and a looong recovery period.

Not much from the Meican side of things, I don't think that a trial date has even been set yet
