Can anyone provide root logo to the v1000h? I need full qos access to give the Netflix media center reduced priority. It's ruining all Internet on full hd

I haven't had any issues recently. Been better than usual in fact.

I actually just wanted to post how much I'm in love with the Hollywood Suite channels. Constant line-up of fantastic movies, HD on demand stuff, great content in the Optik app so I can watch Pulp Fiction on wifi on my touch.

Too bad the preview ends in February. Wonder what they'll cost per month...

Telus tech told me yesterday that the new Optik update is set to release on Feb. 8th and is supposed to address the connection issues between the PVR and other boxes. Really, really, really hope it fixes these problems.

Can't wait for the update. The lag between the remote and PVR is the only annoying thing with Optik.

It wasn't always like this. I recall in late 08/early 09 when the remote was actually instantly responsive!

Ah, the good old days of Telus TV.

There is also an update coming down for the xbox. You can now control your TV with the Kinect sensor...

And apparently if you don't have the Kinect, Telus will provide one, so I was told. Same goes for a gold membership on XBOX live, it is required to download the update, they will provide a credit for the cost of a gold membership.

It was still good last year. That's when my dad switched over to Optik. A couple months after, I noticed the lag and it's been there since.

Have you called in a trouble ticket? PM me your number and I can have a look at your port stats.

hHas anyone else had the problem where you're watching an HD recording and an HD program starts recording and it interrupts the recording saying "all HD services are in use" as if you were watching a live HD stream rather than the recording? So frustrating that I'm only allowed 1 HD stream too, right in downtown Nanaimo; Not to mention the sometimes 3-15 second lag on the guide, ugg! I asked telus support if there's a firmware update coming and they said there is no date at this time. I also asked if I could get a mere 2 HD streams and they said it won't be available in my area in the foreseeable future. Shaw's new gateway dvr system allow 6 HD streams at once! holy! and its full 1080P! not 1080I like telus. If gateway comes to my area soon and telus doesn't get their act together, I'm switching for sure! I'm salivating over this new shaw service! and when I switched to telus a year ago, I was so happy with the service, the guide worked like lightning every time! Then after only a month or two, it turned into this piece of crap, lol! Thats why everybody notices this lag, because it wasn't always like this. I'd be so much happier if they rolled the firmware back to the factory version. I did a hard reset(unplug for 10 sec., plug in, hold OK and down arrow on front of box until lights blink) and it formatted the drive, but didn't help anything, just erased my recordings lol!
