Let me guess, Canucks fans from just outside Cairo?

Egyptian state TV has raised the death toll to 73 after fans of rival soccer teams rushed the field, hurling stones and sticks at each other and sparking a stampede

So where's the call for Egypt to be banned from all international matches? Or does that only happen when it's England?

They did it to Serbia as well as I recall. Or was that Bosnia? It was one of them. England are just more consistent.

Spontaneous combustion versus the English pre-planning and then executing mayhem, both at home and abroad.

So I suppose that Germany, France, Italy and a number of other nations should have received the same treatment as the English then, right?

The BBC article I read said a lot of fans had brought knives to the game. Not so sure it wasn't pre-planned.

English stadiums are the standard now when it comes to spectator safety for the better part of almost 20 years. Not many other nations can claim that yet England is still the poster boy for the ugly side of football.

I for one, won't be traveling to Egypt as I do not condone its handling of this situation.

British hooligans make better sound bites because they (sort of) speak english. This Egyptian stuff makes hockey fans, even rioting Nuck fans, seem pretty tame by comparison, even when drunk. In largely Muslim Egypt, i don't think alcohol fuels this kind of stuff. Maybe it would be better if they had a few pops...

From what I read, most of the deaths were from people trampled by the panicking crowd and falling from balconies rather than from actual fighting

There's a difference between Egyptian soccer fans rioting after a match and English rioters watching a soccer match before fighting
