2) Wallpapers don't seem well optimized. Both resolution and sizing don't seem to well executed.

Anyone with tablet experience have any solutions for these?
From what I have read, #1 is a common complaint.

For #2 there is a wallpaper app that you can use. I'm not sure what it is called, my Prime is at home and XDA is blacked out for SOPA

Edit: Here is a thread that may help your wallpaper issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1423360

Hi. Welcome to the tablet thread.

Anyone know what's new in 2.0.0.7111?

If iPad 3 comes out by march I think I'm going to grab one, when do they usually make announcements.

I've been using my playbook as an e-book reader as well, and it's doing a decent job of that as well.

I haven't really found much to complain about it thus far other than it could use some more apps.

^ I agree. It's pretty sad that the Kobo app on the playbook is 10 times better than the software on the Kobo Wifi reader, and about a thousand times better than the Kobo App for the BB phones, which totally broke after the last update.

It would be to much to ask of the playbook if there was a way to plug it into the car and listen to music thorough the speakers

Same way you would plug a mp3 player or iPod. Auxiliary cord if you have the input or FM transmitter.

That is a problem with your car and not your Playbook. Can you name any device that can just plug into any car?

Many post 2006 cars have mini-audio jacks for Mp3 players.

Oh, you can hook it up the same way you'd hook this up:

Or, any other portable audio player in the past 30 years.

****ALERT****

For anyone who wants a 64 GB ASUS Transformer Prime, Memory Express has 5 in stock at the NW location (Dalhousie), 1 in the Online Store, and "Limited Quantities" at the NE location.

Just wondering if anyone using the playbook could tell me how to read ebooks(epub) that I already have on my computer? I'm not too familiar with the playbook because it's not actually mine but if someone can point me in the right direction I'm sure I can figure it out.

The included Kobo reader won't let you sideload books like that so you need to get a reader app. There is a free one available, called Wink or something, but is complete garbage and you need to 'sign in' every time you open it. The app epub reader, is $2 or something and is much better.

I have become really frustrated about the charging time of my playbook recently. Plugged into a PC or my phone charger and it doesn't charge hardly at all. The MicroUSB charger that came with it is a little better but not much.

There is the option of purchasing the rapid mag charger, but for $40+ a charger that will only charge my playbook doesn't make sense unless it really is a lot faster. Anyone have one that can attest to how fast it charges?

Do you think using the 10W USB power supply that is available for the iPad would help? It noticeably improves the charging speed of our iPhones, and is the fastest way to charge an iPad, and it's just a brick with a USB out, so I assume it could provide more current to the Playbook charging circuitry as well. It would also be easy to find locally.

If you work downtown, you could borrow mine and test it out.

That's a good idea. I could test it with the wife's iPad charger. It is normally in use with the phone/ipod/ipad so I never really have an option. It would sure simplify things.

i use Book Reader from Untangled Development. Works with several formats as long as they're DRM-free. $0.99 on BB App World.
