So it was the locals hired by the hotel manager hired by the husband who was hired by Newt Gingrich?
Quite the web that has been woven.

If this is accurate, then weren't the "domestic" or "within a country" or "internal" comments all complete BS?

Any time you go to one of these resorts, you can usually spot a few locals who manage to sneak in if you look hard enough. It's easy to see why... free food, drinks, drunk chicks.... I think sometimes staff let their friends in as well.

I haven't noticed "Jiri Hirdina" posting in this thread. Makes me wonder how much he knows about this.

So now lets start the speculation of what the truth actually is that lead to the beating.
You don't just randomly get beat to a pulp for no reason and left in an elevator. I hope we can find out the whole story

I think it is one of two things.
1. Amorous Latin guy wants to score with drunk Canadian girl, she turns him down, he attacks her.
2. She witnessed something that put her in danger. Wrong place, wrong time sort of thing.

Sure you do, especially in vacation resorts where the liquor gene is in full flight and peoples a$$hole level is +10, strength is +10 and balance is -50 and judgement is -100000

Quoted from Huffington post:
"CBC News is reporting that Mexican authorities have made an arrest in the beating of Canadian tourist Sheila Nabb.
Mexican news site Linea Directa and CBC are reporting that the suspect in the attack is Jose Ramon Acosta, a Mexican national who spoke English and apparently frequented hotels and other tourist hotspots.
He was reportedly identified with a fingerprint and a blood sample. Earlier this week it was reported that Mexican investigators were looking through surveillance footage which showed a man in his 20s attacking Nabb."
Jose Ramon Acosta, sounds legit.

They questioned a Canadian tourist with bruised knuckles but ruled him out.
