Very cool, thanks for sharing. Just an amazing place to experience first-hand.

You can embed vimeo like so (but with the spaces removed from the tags):

Very cool work, how would you get such smooth panning shots like that? I also like the night sky bits and the dancing waterfall

Some random info that hopefully answers a few questions (or partially answers) :

Quote:
All timelapses were shot on the Canon 5D Mark II with a variety of Canon L and Zeiss CP.2 Lenses.

We had to endure pretty interesting weather conditions, as well as long days with very little sleep; if any. We also had the challenge of lugging heavy gear to a few remote locations, and with the lack of sleep, this increased the demand on our bodies. As we reached November, weather conditions became cold, and really began to test our wills.
I'll try getting more info... cause I want to attempt something like this. Its incredible.

I started noticing this type of montage on all those BBC nature documentaries. There are some amazing ones out there, such as when the seasons change while the camera moves.

Does someone have to go back to the exact same spot and shoot the exact same location over and over again, month after month, in an identical fashion?

Here's a trailer from a video at the Banff Film Festival that had some awesome ones...

I don't think the best one is in the trailer though, where the seasons change while the skiers are skiing.

Huh, didn't realize Bridal Veil Falls moved so much. (I think I got the right waterfall... the one at the end.)

I belive a rig like this is used for moving time lapse photography: http://ditogear.com/omnislider/

It is pretty cool the effects you can capture.
