Ravens DC Pagano was interviewed by the Colts today for the head coaching position.
Also, Miami, Arizona, and Washington will heavily pursue Peyton Manning if he is released by the Colts according to numerous sources online. It seems that Miami and Arizona in particular are really going to push for him. Apparently Miami's second option would be Flynn out of Green Bay.

If Carroll counts given his NFL duties over a decade ago, he made the playoffs his first year back in charge last year with Seattle, with a completely overturned roster.
And, to be honest, the Seahawks had better performances overall and a much better season this year, with the same record, so are headed in the right direction under his guidance.
PC also has basically full control over the roster, which most college and most new coaches certainly do not.

Ya, I know they're meeting again today. I feel pretty meh about Sherman, but I suppose we'll have to see who he surrounds himself with.

Informal recommendations to accountants? Yeah, I'm sure he isn't getting a referral fee or anything like that.

Looks like Mike Sherman will not be the coach after all in Tampa.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are near an agreement to hire Rutgers coach Greg Schiano as their new head coach, according to league sources.

Done deal. Greg signs a 5 year deal with Tampa.

Isray is made things didn't stay in house? He tweets about Manning's health and some of the dumbest information spewed from any owner in pro sports. It's clear Isray didn't talk with Manning about any of the changes that were coming, and that can't be a good thing moving forward.
The organization has no direction what so ever right now. Isray's comments about him being the one to decide whether or not Manning will stay, not the general manager, show you the type of ego on this man.
Manning seems awfully motivated right now about his recovery, scary to think of this adding more fuel to one of the most competitive athletes fire, and letting him become a free agent with every NFL team able to go after him.
I don't think anything Manning said was out of bounds or something that needed to be kept in house. To go along with that, what type of advertising is this too Andrew Luck for the Colts franchise?

Don't get why it's being dragged out. They have already decided that they are taking Andrew Luck and are going with him as QB next year. They fired Manning's "guy", hired a new coach without talking to him. Andrew Luck will be the QB at the start of next season.
Wherever Manning goes, they will be the team that I want to get to the Superbowl after Indy. Apparently Miami, Washington, and Arizona are pushing hard. I actually think Denver would make sense. They would win that division easily with that defense and Manning as QB.

Put Manning on any AFC West team and they would run away with the Division. If Manning is 80% of what he was, I think he could make a team like the Chiefs a Superbowl contender next year.
I think Arizona could be a team Manning looks at though. Play in a dome on grass, decent chance to compete for the Division, and supposedly has a good relationship with Ken Whisenhut.

Add in one of the most dangerous receivers in the game and a bit of a running game at times...and it makes all kind of sense.

Every NFC West team outside of the Rams, which is funny to think if they didn't feel committed to Bradford, i think Peyton would jump at the chance to play for Jeff Fisher.
Arizona does make a lot of sense. Easy place to want to move too, would have a chance to be the star and mold that offense.
Seattle is going in the right direction, I think they'd at least show interest.
49ers are a little bit of a wildcard. Alex Smith had a solid year, but it's clear he has a ceiling. Of course your not hearing reports of them wanting to part ways but who knows how a team reacts when they have a chance to get Peyton Manning, with that type of running game and defense already in place.
The Jets are the wildcard in all of this. Especially with Tom Moore now on the staff. Peyton is a pretty close to the vest guy, and is pretty big on "honor" and "respecting the game". He's entering a circus with the Jets, not to mention playing in the same city as his brother, I'm not sure he wants to be a part of that. That being said, nobody likes Peyton Manning more then Rex Ryan.
The Redskins don't make much sense to me, because I don't see Peyton wanting to play in the same division as Eli.
The Dolphins sound like one of the teams to be interested, but I don't see why you'd choose to play in the AFC East for a team still missing many key pieces over the NFC East.
Will be very interesting to see what happens, now that this looks like it has a chance of happening.

Unbelievable. Losing to New England was bad enough, but the one positive I thought would come outta of it is Cam Cameron gone. Another year of mediocrity and basic offense in 2012 coming.
