We still have to talk taxes you and I. I'm leaving for Vegas on Feb.9th, when I come back I'll be in the thick of tax season, so before that would probably be ideal.
For sure! trying to get Banffgirl to get her poop in a group for those, as i want to do it sooner rather than later. I will get her to get the stuff together and set up a time with you.
Thanks for the reminder!

OT: Do you offer a CP discount, and a discount for filing multiple years at the same time...?
as a former glaswegian, and a graduate of the university of edinburgh, i bring you the following tasty videos! robert carlyle did the entire commercial in one take. pretty impressive! BTW, you should try a flaming drambuie!
...you take the high road and I'll take the low...
and of course...flower of scotland! This is from a Euro2012 game versus Spain. I have sung this song on terracing before Scotland v England Rugby, notably during the RWC in 1991 and in the (then) 5 nations tournament. a very powerful song.

If this does not make you have goose bumps, or does not bring a tear to your eye, you may not have Scot's in you. If you have never been to Canmore for the Games, it is HIGHLY recommended!!!

Takes me back to my grandfather's funeral every time I hear Amazing Grace on the pipes. A few members of the Highlanders were there playing throughout the ceremony...
I had been to the Canmore Games many years ago, it was a great time. I was fascinated with the caber toss.
So my scotch tasting featured the Bruichladdich (pronounced: Brook-Laddie) distillery from Islay, a typically peaty region, but these were not peaty scotches.
We tried 6 scotches going from a 10 year, 15 year and all the way up to the 18 year. Included was a 2003 Organic scotch which tasted amazing. I'm normally the first person to call BS on organic anything, but this stuff was delicious.
There was also a 16 year scotch fermented in Bourbon casks. This was my favourite and I took home a bottle. Amazing stuff.
The 18 year old was very good, I'm not going to get into the specifics as there was a lot of history involved. Needless to say, I'd recommend trying this distiller if you ever get the chance, they're pretty small distillery with some interesting products.
Now, for the peat lovers:
The Bruichladdich Port-Charlotte - This was an homage scotch to a former fallen distillery on the island. I actually liked it, its a stiff drink but its got a lot of character.
Now, they had another scotch, a deliberately insanely peaty scotch called the '4X.' It is called the '4X' because it is 4 times more peaty than the current 'peatiest' (if thats a word) scotch on the market.
Gentlemen, this was not part of the tasting, but they had a bottle there if you decided you wanted to try it, and of course, being the adventurous drinker, and it being free, I chose to go for it.
Guys, this scotch is probably the closest anyone will ever get to performing analingus on the Loch Ness Monster. And thats probably a good thing. I felt like I ate some Scotsman's lawn while their Oak tree was on fire.
It was rated at, I think, 62.5% alcohol, so I could probably run my car on this stuff.
So there you go.

I have a bottle of Bruichladdich "Peat" and its pretty good. Not sure where that would rank in the list you tried, but its a nice scotch. I like the Bruichladdich offerings in general, but truthfully nothing compares to Caol Ila. That is basically the nectar of the gods!
