Oh man, just re-read the list. I'm shocked that there was no love for Shame or Melancholia. I'm very disappointed with the Academy, they seem to be scared of daring projects these days.
Why a nomination for Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close? Just because it dealt with the twin towers? As far as I've heard it was panned by most everyone I've talked to/read.
With April Fools' Day 2012 falling on a Sunday, the RAZZIE Awards are taking advantage of this once-a-decade opportunity to stress the humor of their dis-honors. This year, RAZZIE Nominations will be revealed in a press conference at 6pm/PST, Saturday February 25 (aka Oscar Eve) in Santa Monica. The eventual "winners" will be announced on April 1st (aka April Fools' Day) -- Meaning you still have time to join and vote on our 32nd Annual RAZZIE Nominating Ballot. For full info, CLICK HERE.
I thought Jonah Hill was outstanding in Money Ball. A career-changing performance.
I agree, I just saw Money ball the other day and he was amazing. With a performance like that he can do what Micheal Cera couldnt and move on from Loser Comedies.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
I'm shocked that Tintin didn't even get a nomination for best animated film, despite winning the Golden Globe and Producer's Guild awards. As far as the major categories, I haven't seen many beyond Moneyball, and I don't have much interest in them, either, except for the Artist.
I like the Descendants to clean up the big ones. Clooney, Payne and Best Picture for sure.
The Artist was very good as well and make snag a major award as well.
I feel bad for Michelle Williams. Last year, she was amazing in Blue Valentine and if it were any other year than Portman's Black Swan, she probably would have won. This year, she's given another amazing performance and she's up against Mrs. Oscar, Meryl Streep and from all accounts, she did another great job in The Iron Lady.
Michelle Williams is one of the best actresses working these days, she deserves a statue, I really hope she gets it here.
