Lol, looking at that makes me realize how weak swear words are in mandarin. Bun dan? Sounds like something a kid would say, or an annoying girl from a Taiwanese drama. We canto speakers have better swear words.

Especially since they can be hidden in English words. "Hunger Link" "Delay No More" as examples. lol I remember someone hide those exact words to someone in our high school yearbook. Oi.

Ugh canto swears really aren't all that much better either. Seeing a our best swears are that or "fall on the street".

My dad was a cook in a Chinese restaurant, and having had to hang around him and his buddies in the kitchen when I was a kid, I can assure you PK is not the only swear words in canto. They seem to have a knack for complimenting one's mother's private parts. I didn't even know what they were saying until probably in my early teens.

Does PK Subban still play in the NHL? They should name a street after him.

I have no idea how to say anything you guys spelled out and I'm sure any attempted pronunciation would have you all rolling on the floor laughing your asses off, so I'll just wish you a Happy New Year and leave it at that.

Sure is an awful lot of poor pinyin in this thread.
It's been a good Spring Festival where I am so far. It's still 初一 here and the fireworks have been going off outside for the last hour and half or so with about 4 more hours to go. They scared the crap out of my cat last night, but she seems to have gotten used to them now.
新年快乐!身体健康,万事如意!

Taipei has sounded like a war zone for the last 36 hours now. Every fifteen minutes someone, somewhere is setting off fireworks. Long, ripping, machine-gun sounding chains of them, or deep, staccato blasts. I can't imagine having wartime PTSD and trying to deal with Chinese New Year.
