Default Virus?

My computer is seriously messed up. Shut it down last night and everything was fine. Tonight I powered it up and nothing. It went through the Bios and then there was a blinking cursor on the screen that never advanced.

I went to the BIOS and changed the sequence of the boot up drives and eventually windows wanted to start up on another drive but wouldn't. Tried to restore from a previous date. Nothing. I looked around in DOS and saw five drives. I only have four hard disks. C: is listed but shows no files when I run DIR. A new drive letter, G:has the windows files when I run DIR.

It seems to me that the windows files have been moved to a new drive letter g: from c: and the boot sequence of my dives seems to have changed.

Is this even possible? Any ideas?

I'm so confused.

Stop downloading porn.

Also, just DBAN and reinstall windows. You do have a backup right?

LOL!! I don't know how the heck this happened.

I do have a backup of windows. I guess I could try that tonight. Never ran DBAN before does it just wipe out c:? Does it let me erase any drive?
I'm a little concerned that the problem (virus?) may still be lurking on one of the other drives that hold my documents, pics, music, etc.

I guess I could wipe out c:, install windows and then scan the whole machine for viruses.
