What people hate about New England is the coach, and his ######baggary. I know personally the reason I could never cheer for NE is because of Belichick and his arrogance and all-around terrible demeanor. Respect his work
as a coach but think he is an arrogant, cheating, POS.

While its not a superbowl winning pass, the winning touchdown in the SF NO might become an iconic pass for San Fran fans.

Gotta disagree with this. The man is simply a genius. Question his demeanor all you want but the guys entire life is football i would much rather have a coach like him than someone like Rex Ryan and based on players reactions either coming or leaving NE everyone LOVES playing for the guy.
Brian Waters was interviewed not to long ago about his experience of playing for the Pats and BB and he said something along the lines of being the greatest experience in his professional career and him actively telling other league players its something he recommends every player experience. This from a pro bowl guard and one of the best to play.
The culture of New England is winning and that has been brought in and established by BB and Kraft. It isnt BB's job to cater to the fans or be a PR master, his job is to win football games and frankly no one does it better.

Didn't disagree that's he a great coach, one of the best, just was stating that people don't hate NE because they win, people hate NE because of BB.
If you a fan of the team already of course you'll love him because he made a once sad franchise into a dynasty that was the class of the NFL. But for casual fans he makes it hard for ppl to cheer for the Pats due to his attitude.
Just because you are great at what you do, doesn't mean people won't think you a POS, and won't like you.
Guarantee that if somebody like Sean Payton was coaching NE to their 3 championships, and the near undefeated season they would have picked up a lot more bandwagon fans, and people would have been cheering for them to go undefeated instead of against them.

I am not sure that they could have any more bandwagon fans than they already do.
Was there such a thing as a Pats fan prior to 2000?

That has nothing to do with what was being said. Enough with the Patriots love in or what Patriots gear you are wearing for the day. Nobody on here is going to say that he isn't everything you said, and not one of the best coaches of all time. Of course it's not his job to make everyone like him, but naturally with SpyGate, his response to many losses the Pats have had, and how he runs up the score, some people are going to dislike the guy.

Agree with everything said except the bolded part....there should never ever be an issue with guys scoring points in professional sports...its what they are paid to do.
Thats like saying the defense in a blowout game should allow the other team to score...which would be ludicrous.

Media and fans are already talking about it that way. And Alex Smith is now a hero, which after what he has handled is a great story.

I'm glad Gregg Williams helped in adding all these iconic playoff memories for NFC West fans. The Lynch run last year. The Smith-Davis drive this year. You're the best, Gregg.
As for the current game, wow, how do you not catch that Nixon? Its the playoffs, man.

If the Texans dont score here and then get a hold...i will say this game is basically over after 1 quarter.
Yates lookin like a rookie...has to settle down...but even then that Raven D can be ferocious.
Andre Johnson best get invloved in a big way as well...but i have a feeling the Ravens are gonna take him out of it completely and say to the Texans....ok run the ball to beat us.

Interesting stat: Tom Brady threw an NFL record 5 first half touchdown passes. Tim Tebow completed 3 of 10 pass attempts. Yes, that's right. He had two fewer completions than Brady had TDs.
