Looks like Chelsea are after Gary Cahill for about £7M but cant agree with the player on personal terms.

Quote:
Coyle confirmed last Friday that a fee - believed to be in the region of £7 million - had been agreed with Chelsea for Cahill and talks have been ongoing with a view to completing the 26-year-old's proposed move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas said later the same day that the parties were "miles apart regarding agreement with the player'', and on Saturday, after naming Cahill as his skipper for the 1-1 draw with Wolves, Coyle stressed that there had only been one meeting between the London club and the England international's representatives.

Sweet Jebus! The Liverpool and Suarez statements are both sad and funny at the same time.

*facepalm*

Says it best.

Tim Howard just scored a goal. Legit. Fired it in from inside his own box.

Wow.

^ Crazy swirling wind, but still, a keeper goal is still an interesting oddity.

Two completely impossible things happened in the same game. Amazing.

Finally saw the Howard goal, I love how he didn't celebrate much if at all

you never see goalies celebrate howlers against the other side, seems like there is a real fraternity among them, they don't want anyone to look bad

Oh no, Man City might not be able to buy new players in January. How can Roberto be expected to finish top 4 with this group of scrubs?

That team is just unbelievable, they have spent a King's ransom in the last 3 years. Absolutely unreal.

Because the Toures are leaving for African Nations Cup, who wants to guess that they buy Sneijder? As I recall the sticking point between United and Sneijder was that he wanted £280K/wk+ I heard the actual number was around £320K/wk and United walked away. City would have no problem paying those kinds of wages. They dont have a 'Rooney-cap.'

Geez, Mancini wants to not only fill his bench with overpaid players but put more in the stands or something? Just buy the whole frickin' league already.

Yes please

he is going to be an absolute star, all ready starting for Brazil, with Sandro here he would have a brazillian mate

Harry sure loves himself a deep midfield. If this goes through, I really hope they can offload Kranjcar and grab some more depth at the back.

seems that Samba is either going to QPR or Spurs, would love him

ideally I would like Samba or Vertonghen, Ganso would be fantastic, I think they wait until summer for a striker and it probly ends up being Rossi who is injured now anyway

there's also a rumor that I have seen a bunch of journalists on twitter talk about with Demba Ba having a 7m buyout and of course Harry decided to comment on it this morning...

if that's true he's gone

"If we don't have the players it's tough for us," said Mancini. "We are not United. We don't have 19 championships.

"United and Chelsea have won trophies for many years. So they are quiet. They understand that they can play without pressure. For us it's different.

"This could be the first championship for many years and we need to do everything we can to win buy it."
Corrected his mistake.

Its not so different from what many teams have done through the years, the only difference is the ridiculous amount of money in transfer fees and wages.
