And yet, if this had happened in Canada, she would've been charged with murder or manslaughter....

Good on her for protecting her herself and her baby but definitely sounds like there is more to the story. Who shows up one day wanting entry then tries to break in armed again a week later?

Sarah McKinley says that a week earlier a man named Justin Martin dropped by on the day of her husband's funeral, claiming that he was a neighbor who wanted to say hello. The 18-year-old Oklahoma City area woman did not let him into her home that day.

The sick f%%k is better off dead. I have a gut feeling that robbery wasn't his motive.
Here's hoping that his buddy gets 10 to 20 years of forced sodomy.
That's a smart girl asking for permission before opening up, there's no way that this gets prosecuted.
That's a tough girl.

My guess is the husband owed some money to these guys, and when they found out he was dead, they can to 'collect'.

Who knows, It may be drug related but people are crazy. Hopefully someone that has a ton of money will donate some to her to get her and her child into a good school.

Well she stamped that invoice "Paid in Full"
To me this creep sounds like a Predator, it could have been that he saw an 18 year old piece alone because her husband just died and decided to have some fun.

It could just be the thieves look for widows because they think they would be an easy target.
The sick f--ks probably scan the obits for future victims.

It does seem like she was targeted. If so, even better the attacker is dead.
I liked the touch where she gave the baby its bottle and then raised her gun. That's a cool kid under fire.

Here in the UK you can only use 'reasonable force' in situations like this. There have been many cases where victims under attack in their own homes and have been prosecuted for using excessive force against intruders.
It really sickens me when this happens - who the #### can determine what is reasonable force when you and your family are under attack from scumbag intruders?
This lady did right, and I applaud her for her calmness and her bravery.

On my way back from the Gator Bowl they were talking about a case like this in England were a Guy 1 was married and his wife was sleeping with Guy 2. Guy 2 goes to guy 1's house with a wooden club and Guy 1 kills him with a Bow and arrow and didn't get charged. I couldn't help but laugh. They went all mid evil on each other.
