Default Satellite Poker Tournament

Anyone thinking about entering this? Or anyone entered this already?

http://www.stampedecasino.com/tourna...atellites.html

Won my seat into level two last night. Might enter level one again cause I want two entries into level two.

Four levels in total. $250,000 to the winner of level four

Hey I played in that last night.

Who were you? I think I finished about 9th or so. I made the final table but lost shortly after that.

I was the Asain guy. When they stopped with four left. I was chip leader. Took out 5 of the 6 players on the final table. Incuding the last four

LOL too funny. CPers are everywhere.

You took me out as well. I went all in with AK and you had A8 suited. I think you had an 8 on the flop or something. Wasn't a great call by me but I was short on chips and had to try and make something happen.

Good for you man. I was hoping you would win.

That girl that was at our table right at the beginning was annoying as hell. What the hell was up with her?

So who were the final four guys?

What do you have to do play? Just show up at the casino before one of the game times listed in the link w/ $45? And if you win the table, you get a 'free' pass to Level 2? Then just show up at the Level 2 dates, and so on?

Looks interesting... I might be willing to lose $45

You can call Stampede Casino poker room at 261-0174. But it usually doesn't fill up so you can sign up when you get there right till 7.

But I'd call if you know you wanna enter

Yeah. I hit top pair with A kicker. And I also had runner runner flush available. You went all in, and it wasn't much for me to call, so I did.

Yeah, that girl was definately the river princess. She didn't know when she had the winning or losing hand. It would've been comical had it not been pathetic

Every 6 entrants results in an entry to level 2. So since last night there were 25 entries. 4 people got to advance

Sounds interesting but I see the blinds go up every 20 minutes.... seems a bit quick for a live game. In what increments do they go up?

Albert who long did you end up playing for? I'd like to enter one of the 7pm ones but I have to work early the next morning and I'm a little concerned about the time that it might be finishing at.

Confused about the 'levels'. How does that work? I win in the earlier level gets you a seat in the next? But you can buy into the next level if you want (and have the cash)?

Level one buy in=$45
Level two buy in=$200
Level three buy in=$950
Level four buy in=$5000

You can buy in at any level if you want to pay. You can also advance levels by winning a seat in your level

Hope this helps

So I played level two last night. Here is my vent on it

everyone started the night with $5000
at my table i was prob about 3rd or 4th in chips after an hour and a half, but chip leader had a MASSIVE lead.
Anyway the blinds were $200, $400. I had about $8300 in chips by now
I get dealt pocket queens. UTG calls $400. I raise to $1300. everyone behind me folds. SB folds. BB (who is the chip leader) calls another $900. UTG folds.
So its heads up

Flop is 2,6,7 rainbow. So unless he flops a set or two pair. I am good with my over pair queens
I bet $1000. He goes all in. I call.
He shows 9,10 off suit. Everyone is thinking, why is this moron going all in on a gutshot? so he needed runner runner 9 and/or 10 to get his set or two pair to win. He is also gutshot for an 8 for the straight.
Turn is a 3. So there is no flush possibility and a 9 or 10 does him no good.
He needs an eight and only an eight to win. There is 4 left in the deck with 44 unseen cards
So if we're watching this on TV, he has a 9.1% chance of winning and I have a 90.9% chance
River is.............................................AN EIGHT!!!!! A FRICKEN EIGHT!!!!
THE RIVER RAT GETS HIS EIGHT!!!
I was speechless. The tourney organiser gives me a free hat and shirt cause he feels sorry for me. I played everything right but just got unlucky. I am out of the tourney!!!
In hindsight. That wasn't that bad of a move on his part since he was the massive chip leader. He was just pushing his weight around. Which is something I would've done as well. He almost got his hand caught in the cookie jar. Lucky B@astard!!!

I lost out in a big money (for me anyway) tournament the other day to a ~2000 to 1 long shot. I had Queens, the board was q-t-t rainbow. Guy with more chips than me went all in with 4s, and he hit runner-runner 4s. The only 2 cards in the deck that could beat me, and he hit them both.
