"I've been through a quarterback controversy at another job that I had," Crenell said. "And just waiting and guessing and trying to figure things out, and I just felt like it would be better for (the team) to know there will be a different quarterback."
Crennel is referring to his time as coach of the Cleveland Browns when he was forced to choose between Derek Anderson or Brady Quinn. These are problems Bill Belichick doesn't have to deal with
Thats probably why all these former New England coaches and executives aren't finding much success elsewhere. At the least...you have to at least try Ricky Stanzi, I mean at some point you need to see if you can keep this guy as a backup QB...Tyler Palko has proven that he is a guy who should have been cut from the UFL and CFL. Meaning...it's unbelievable he ended up on a NFL roster, let alone as a #2 QB on a teams depth chart. This just scares the hell out of me in terms of the Scott Pioli's ability to evaluate talent at the most important position in the game.

Wow Holmgren admits that McCoy wasn't even checked for a concussion before being let back in.

between this and the Jerivicious incident a few years back, a team that will always have trouble attracting good players might really have no chance. Very Mickey Mouse organization...

i cant see the video above, so i am not sure what he did? i thought it was funny when Romanowski was publicly lobbying for the Broncos head coaching job after Shanahan was turfed, not that McDaniels worked out but to hire this guy, now that would have been embarrasing. too many shots to the melon

While I'm surprised, I hope it turns out to be a good thing. A bit more transparency in dealing with concussions is needed.

Not to mention Kellen Winslow Jr. demanding a trade due to substandard medical treatment.

I think there were at least a half dozen incidents of staph infection with the Browns in the past few years. I know LeCharles Bentley sued the Browns for the same thing.

Pioli pretty much lost me when he drafted Jackson 4th overall with his first ever pick for the Kansas City Chiefs (I still can't believe it). His faith in Matt Cassel is pretty questionable as well. Until Scott can prove otherwise, he just looks like someone who was riding on the coat tails of Bill Belichick. (or Belichick and Tom Brady).

[Chicago Bears receiver Sam Hurd was arrested in Chicago on federal drug charges Wednesday night, and the criminal complaint against him describes Hurd as regularly dealing large amounts of drugs in Chicago.

He was arrested by undercover agents at a Chicago steakhouse Wednesday night and was due to appear Thursday in federal court to face a charge that he did "possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more" of cocaine.

The investigation into Hurd's attempt to buy large amounts of cocaine and marijuana began in July 2011, when he was still a member of the Dallas Cowboys, and concluded when he personally met with an undercover agent Wednesday at a restaurant on West Bryn Mawr Avenue in Chicago.

He was the Saints #3 QB for a short time a couple years back and was eventually released, I couldn't believe it when I saw last month that he was actually getting the chance to start games in this league (albeit due to injury, but still).

Blaine Gabbert is some kinda of train wreck, then again it doesn't help when you have nobody to throw the ball to.

Gabbert needs better awareness of the fact that Guy Whimper is his right tackle.

I feel bad for MJD, nothing else in terms of offensive talent on that team besides him.
Guy Whimper...would have been a better baseball player. Actually a perfect Montreal Canadien.
