MMF already said it.. I am probably the only person I know that actually liked King of the Hill. Another underrated show IMO was The King of Queens. Leah Remini.. mmm mmm MMM..

A movie that is sinfully underrated is Zodiac. It never got the respect that it deserved. Fincher's best besides Seven IMO.

I thought Donnie Darko was a piece of crap movie. Made no sense, and people complare it to Fight Club and Memento.

Underrated TV Shows

Rubicon-a tad slow near the beginning, but the final 3-4 eps had me totally engaged. Too bad the public would rather turn off the brain and watch singing and dancing contests or else Rubicon would have been renewed. They ended the show on such a cliffhanger, I was so mad when it got cancelled.

Deadwood-Best Character on TV. Period.

Hung-Very funny show and lots of hot women.

Overrated TV Shows

This begins and ends with Big Bang Theory. I guess it's because of my hate for nerds, but this show drives me nuts. Ugh.

Overrated Movies

Old School-Animal House with Will Ferrel. Piss off.

Taken-Ancient Liam Neeson with a teenage daughter, kicking ass and taking names? No thanks.

Donnie Darko-Still have no idea how this steaming pile of garbage got the cult following that it did. Still makes no sense to me.

Boondonck Saints-I barely got thru this turd. Action was very boring and cliche.

That movie could have been great. Except it wasn't clear in its path. Its "misdirection" was just misguided. They build up a case of it being this one guy ... then they start pointing to a new guy with a very tense scene in the basement ... and then they're like "naw jk, it actually was just the previous guy"

What?

Summer Heights High is incredible. It's a shame more people don't know about it. Chris Lilley is a genius.

I would say underrated would be Gattaca with Ethan Hawke, Jude Law, and Uma Thurman.

"In the not-too-distant future, a less-than-perfect man wants to travel to the stars. Society has categorized Vincent Freeman as less than suitable given his genetic make-up and he has become one of the underclass of humans that are only useful for menial jobs. To move ahead, he assumes the identity of Jerome Morrow, a perfect genetic specimen who is a paraplegic as a result of a car accident. With professional advice, Vincent learns to deceive DNA and urine sample testing. Just when he is finally scheduled for a space mission, his program director is killed and the police begin an investigation, jeopardizing his secret". Written by garykmcd from imdb

The soundtrack is also very moving as is the movie. It is retro futuristic, but wow. Everyone can learn something from it.

Over rated Tv Shows:
Big Bang Theory: Kaley Cuoco is the only thing that makes that show watchable now. First season was funny, but now that it is the hit show on TV they've dumbed everything down quite a bit.
Family Guy: Has its moments but not particularly great, and there is nothing worse than the part of the episode where they sing a song for 3 minutes
Modern Family: Has it's moments, but like all popular comedies, its too predictable

Underrated:
Community: If you watch/follow it from the beginning you will fall in love with it
The League: Hands down the funniest show on TV.

Ah, Snoop. She was a really underrated character on The Wire.

I loved how that show, much like the series of Game of Thrones, wasn't afraid to build characters up until you cared about them, and then killed them without hesitation. I was devastated (at least as far as TV goes), by some of the untimely deaths in both series.

Overrated:
- The Big Bang Theory, seasons 3 and 4. First couple had some fun science/math jokes in it...which was the real appeal of the show. The writers seem to want to focus more on story, making it feel like Two and a Half Men with nerds. Can't comment on season 5.
- Firefly. Don't get me wrong, I think the show is great. However, the whole "screwed over by FOX" has made its reputation way bigger and its reviewers now make it sound like a life altering experience.

Underrated:
- Tora! Tora! Tora!. One of the better war films in my opinion.

I think that was the order. Sherry Bobbins was part of the last "good" season.

King of the Hill was one of my favourite shows on TV.

Hank Hill is the most underrated character in any show ever.

Everyone I know that has seen King of the Hill liked it. I loved it. I didn't know it was generally disliked.

Gotta throw my love behind the Wire as well. Every character had redeeming and demonizing traits. Really good character driven show.

I like Big Bang but someone pointed out the laugh track and now that is all I can hear. That is annoying but still like the show.

Watching Modern Family, the lack of the laugh track is part of what makes it so awesome.

Great great set, er I mean cast, that of Modern (Sofia Vergara) Family. That Julie Bowen is the second hottest milf on that show says all that needs saying. Plus both are really funny actors as well. I really like this show.
