From Amazon you are looking at 5% duty (UPS) plus shipping. Not saving that much.

You made the right call. It's awesome for the first little while, but then you kind of forget about it.
The rest of the watch on the other hand is still awesome as ever. Honestly, one of the best purchases I've made in terms of bang for buck. It's a keeper for life.

I'd have to double check my records, but I believe I paid around $3300-3400 US for my 3573....from an authorized Omega dealer in DC.

Brinkhaus, Calgary Jeweler's and J-Vair will all discount most of their watches from the retail price.
I've heard of good stories from all 3 Jeweler's and I've found the price to be similar for a new watch compared to buying it online.
It's also nice to be able to go back to the jeweler to get your band resized, your watch touched up, etc.
There also a lot of good deals on used rolexes and omegas, mostly because of the appreciation of the Swiss Franc making new watches jump in CDN price. While the used watches are based on their old retail prices.

Need some CP advice as I'm completely torn.
This:
Or this:
Same watch, different color schemes.
And just for fun, my old watch that I stupidly lost because I'm an idiot. Damn had that thing since like 02 I think.

I'm not sure why people like Nixon watches but the one in the middle looks better but that's just because I think gold on black on a mall brand watch is a little pastiche. The design elements of the smaller dials are nice though.

It's the Atlas. The other one is the Orange Monster.

i just couldn't justify spending the kind of money that the nice watches in this thread cost when i look at the shape mine is in after only a year. i bought a Seiko for a couple hundred bucks last year in Vegas, and it already has lots of scratches on the band and front bezel. for a $200 watch it doesn't bother me that much, but if i were to spend several thousand on one then i would be quite choked
