I can't find his study so I'm not sure if it's available online.
Report issued by the Royal Society of Canada - super in-depth and fascinating.

The references to your above comments can be found on pages 229 - 231.

He was not cleared, by the way, as you'll note in those particular pages.

Well folks we may have just gotten through to our friend idnami. Just posted to the Occupy Calgary blog, so it may or may not stay there for long as I'm not sure it fits the overall narrative of the group:

Quote:
What is it we are fighting for again? Support small business!

This explains today’s situation in easy-to-understand terms. Too bad the “youth” occupying Wall Street lack the intelligence to understand this simple, logical truth. Our system works for anyone willing to work. It works better when we get the government off our backs!
It's basically a rehashing of what we've all been saying "If you want change, work for it, don't demand it".

Of course the first comment is a gooder:

Clearly not his real name, must be John Connor. How deep does this all go? Is Occupy trying to get close to him to take him out, are you Skynet?

That letter has been all over the net for some time now. She doesn't give credit to the author.

IMHO she should source it, otherwise many will assume she wrote it.

I think you're splitting hairs, yes she should have cited source, but I don't think it gives the impression at all that she wrote it without the source being cited.

Look at it this way, it's the first thing posted by occupy calgary that doesn't scream "down with the 1%!" and actually encourages hard work. Honestly I'll be surprised if it doesn't get deleted and have her removed as a contributor to that blog. Doesn't fit the narrative of "corporations bad" that most of the other postings spew.

Hey guys. Every piece on that blog has the author's name in the heading, unless they request that their name be witheld. Or I don't know who they are. Someone sent me that letter and I have no idea who wrote it. I've said I will post anything anyone sends me that is relevant to the movement and doesn't contain hate speech, racism etc. Thats the whole idea behind "Free Press."

I've posted plenty of stuff on there that I don't particularly agree with and they can't kick me off cuz I'm the admin! In this case I do agree and I'd really like to put the myth to rest that the Occupy movement is against hard work. I give my all at my paid job and then I put in a lot of unpaid hours on the blog besides. Some of the posts on there are transcriptions of recorded material provided by people who don't have typing skills. I do that, plus I edit spelling and grammar and try to respond to every comment, or most of them at least.

If I have a choice in the matter, I work for smaller companies and shop there as well. I believe in helping out the little guys. At the moment I work for a large corporation because I needed a job and that's what was available. The union my company belongs to is pro-occupy as are a few others.

My buddy who s a lawyer said a guy representing the occupy movement came into his firm to inquire about hiring him and his partner to represent the protesters. The guy was wearing a ten thousand dollar watch. Nice to know the occupy sheep are just being used to push a bunch of rich people's agenda.

Did your buddy say what the guy's name was? Physical description? If we are all supposed to be unemployed bums where would he get a $10,000 watch? And how did he not get rolled for it while sleeping in a downtown park for 2 months?

Im still not sure what ten people camping at Olympic Plaza can accomplish other than create apathy from the locals and create curiosity from tourists. Perhaps if the hobos from the movements across Canada took a Greyhound to Ottawa and camped out on Parliament Hill AND had a solid, coherent message then some change may occur. Well, at least people may take you seriously and take a minute to think about a message, if you could put a coherent one together.

It's called 'slacktivism', which is the act of participating in obviously pointless activities as an expedient alternative to actually expending effort to fix a problem.

Actually there is a plan in effect to do exactly that this summer. As for clarity, if I ever got to Stephen Harper I'm pretty sure I know EXACTLY what I'd like to say.

The guy wasn't an actual occupier, just representing the rich group funding them for their own agendas.

We have a rich group funding us? Holy cow! When did that happen?

And people say we have no significant support.

Please stop eating my liver

Do you have any Grey Poupon?

My girlfriend has this fantasy about you?

Excuse me sir?

Please stop hitting me in the face, it hurts.

Meh believe what you will. I'll choose to take my buddy's words. Just like you have your beliefs, I have mine. IMO, the occupiers are nothing more than sheep being manipulated without them even aware of it. I find it a little ironic, that's all.

Apparently occupiers went to the Morgan's and pitched a tent in the back of a pick up truck.
Jane called the police and they are collecting evidence.

This is not a good way to get the public on your side.

They pitched a tent inside of the Morgans' pickup truck? Or just someone's truck they borrowed?

In Cory's truck and it was more than just a tent.

Tent and the other "stuff" have been taken as evidence.
