Top of the World was only closed for an hour or two Sunday. Basically a lunch break. Trees up there were fun.

A buddy of mine from Toronto is coming out to do some boarding in January. Usually I just stick to Louise/Sunshine a couple of times a year when I can make it out. Any recommendations for an epic 5-7 day ski trip to show him what western Canada is all about?

Circuit to Fernie, Kimberley, Panorama and Kicking Horse.

If you do this trip Panorama would be a good central location to stay (unless you want to stay at each mountain). 2 1/2 hrs to Fernie 1.5 to Kimberley and 1 - 1.5 to Kicking horse.

If you have time I'd try and squeeze REvy in there somewhere.

A better circuit - Louise, Kicking Horse, Revy and back.

I just want to point out that as someone living on the east coast surrounded by small hills that are packed with the cast of the jersey shore I hate all of you

I would suggest skipping Pano. I have always figured if you were will to drive to Pano, you should continue to kicking horse. I also felt if you were willing to drive to Kicking Horse you should continue on to Revy. IMO, Revy is the best mountain in Canada. I know a lot of people love whistler, but to me the small town feel in Revy makes the entire experience way more enjoyable than Whistler.

For the Sunshine Card, does anyone know how to connect your credit Card to get the Direct-to-Lift upgrade? I have been looking on the site and I see it written, but just not how to do it.

This is true. Panorama might as well not exist.

This is not true. KHMR is an outstanding hill.

Really, if you're doing a 7 day trip out of Calgary, day 1 - drive to Louise in the a.m., ski, then drive from Louise to Revy and check in. Ski for 3 days, and drive to KHMR on day 3. Ski there for 3 days. Drive back to Calgary. Done.

Once you're at Revy you won't want to leave though.

Really the answer is "go where there's snow and stay until there is more snow elsewhere."

Anyone have any apps they would recommend for up to date hill conditions? Most of the reviews I read on the ones I've looked at say the updates are typically inaccurate/slow. Thanks!

I just got back from revy and wow, what a weekend. We almost had first gondola on Saturday and skied the entire day in knee to waist deep powder. Today we spent most of the afternoon hiking greely, but there were still some really nice turns in south bowl as well.

A few youtube vids from last weekend. I suck at editing, and put some of the worst music I could find on them. This was out behind Fernie.

Yup, I agree with all of the above, Revy is the best mountain in Canada bar none. Got to do CAT skiing there before they expanded the hill, I've never had better skiing than that weekend, and probably won't ever have that great skiing again, unless I get to go Heli-Skiing sometime in my life.

Was just the top open or could you make it all the way down to the base?

How was the tree skiing? Was there good coverage over in the ripper?

So jealous you got to go - I've been on the DL since August and haven't been able to ride or play hockey since then. My physio chick says I'lll be ready to go in 2 more weeks. Can't wait to hit Revy up for 5 days over new years.
