Western, class of 2000.
I actually made some really good relationships with people there. Still have a lot of friends from high school, and even kept up with some teachers up until they all retired.
I wonder how many people who went to Wisewood between 99-08, Fowler 96-99 or Churchill 85-94 would have been taught English by my mother.

Went to Queen E. From Grade 7 - 12, Class of '98!
Worst memory: getting mugged of $20 by 3 guys while walking to the C-Train station one day:
Best memory: Hearing that one of the guys who mugged me got stabbed over a drug deal gone bad lol.

Foothills Composite High (Okotoks).. class of 97.
I met my husband there so that was probably one of the best things about going there. I hated having to take the bus to get there everyday so that had to be the worst thing I guess.

I went to Pearson, 03. We basically killed Directed Study Wednesday. My understanding is it wasn't part of the school after our grad year. You had the entire day to do whatever you wanted, there was no set schedule or lectures or assignments. The goal was to basically let you control your own school life and take responsibility for your own learning. You just needed to get a stamp from a teacher at the end of each "block" saying you were in a classroom.
Since the teachers usually just sat at their desks and read, we'd sit at the back and play poker, play penny football or go to a computer lab and play at nabiscoworld.com (the only game site that the internet security didn't block). It was a joke. By the end of grade 12 we even knew the teachers who didn't pay attention to who was sitting in their classroom and would give you a signature anyway. Or a couple of us had stamps of our own which teachers had "misplaced." I'd use it to get homework done sometimes, but for the most part it was a day of fart jokes and practical jokes.
To top it off...we had a football team back then too!

No way. I graduated Churchill in '94. I was fairly average in everything but English clicked for me at some point in high school. I ended up getting an English degree because of that.

Highlight was showing up the "morning after" of a Flames game in the '04 run, with people still passed out on the front lawn of the school from the red mile.

High School is different things to different people but it was a good thing for me to leave it far, far behind. . . . .
It's been 35 years and lately, I've been finding a few of the people who were there . . . . pretty interesting how they've changed and how they lived their lives when the last snapshot you had of them was as pimply 18 year-olds.

Actually graduated Wisewood in '94.
I still hang with pals I met at both schools.
