Default Micro RC Helicopters

Anyone able to recommend a good micro RC Helicopter? I bought one a few years back as a sort of gag gift that turned out to be quite a bit of fun. The one I bought back then was one of the first ones to come out and it was really good at going up and down but that was about it. It was really difficult to trim and fly around the room. I may be expecting to much from them but wondering if they have gotten any better and if anyone has a recomendation for one to buy?

A friend of mine is really into RC copters. I will ask him what he would recommend. I will look for the videos that he has taken with his helicopters too. Stay tuned.

I bought one for nearly $100 a year back. Flying it off your condos balcony is not suggested but other than that I am pretty sure they have come a long way over the past few years.
I would love to get a gas powered one!!!

I know there is one out there that has 4 rotors and is controlled by an iphone (complete with a forward looking camera). I think it is pretty expensive though.

I have one sitting in my office. Paid like $25 for it - it's fun to play with occasionally... Very easy to control,. no real trim as it's gyro-stabilized. Easy to fly around, but the slightest breeze pushes it around. Need to use it at home with the forced air / AC off to control best.

The best one on the market is the Blade MCX2, sold at hobby stores.

I have an Air Hogs one that shoots missiles. It's pretty cheap but actually pretty fun to fly and has taking many bad crashes and survived. Plus it shoots missiles!

I'll have to respectfully disagree, your honour - the Syma S107 is the best on the market, and it's available for $29 shipped online in places (be sure you're getting a non-chinese knock off, of course). Even if the Blade MCX2 is close or even a bit better than the Syma it's 4X the price!!!

I have this one and it's super fun. Parts are really cheap, too.

I have the same one ($27 at Wal Mart) and I can't think of anything I've got more entertainment out of dollar for dollar. In fact I've bought 5 more to give away for Chistmas gifts to share the joy. My dog has snatched mine out of the air on multiple occasions and it still flys like a dream. I think this one is a good place to start before moving on to ones with more control like a 3 channel.

You know your helicopter has a right to defend itself.
