Once that temporary bridge is removed... man, gonna be sweet.

$25 Million is an insignificant amount of money for a piece of infrastructure which will likely be an iconic piece of Calgary for years to come.

I LOVE IT

Unlike the Flames the bridge has gotten better under "rebuilding".

Hopefully once that temp bridge is removed people will realize how incredibly ridiculously amazingly awesome the design is; based solely on the fact that it can span the entire thing without piers and not be a gigantic cable/arch suspension bridge.

It would be awesome if for once a city project could come in under budget.....I personally think they lowball the initial price and once it is too late the real price comes out.....

I bet there are a whole slew of people out there who think that temporary construction bridge is part of the final design, and have no idea it's going to be removed.

OK, now I'm mad. We spent $25M on a bridge; and now they want it to be parallel? Nobody will be able to use it if it's parallel; never mind that I don't see how it won't fall into the water.

Thanks for another good pic.

I think with the temp bridge it actually looks like an incredibly cool LRT train going over a bridge.

Drove by it last night, looks like the move didn't happen as it was still over the temporary bridge.

I'm pretty certain Druh thinks it's a spaceship.

Druh just tweeted that the lateral move is complete. Condolences to all those that were hoping it would fall into the river during this.
