Default QR Codes?

I'm looking into developing a QR code marketing strategy for my company and was wondering if anyone here any any experience using them?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QR_Code

There a tons of places online that will generate a code for you for free, but I'm looking into something that will provide me with tracking and analytics for my codes. Preferrably something free, but I'd be willing to pay for a good robust system if need be.

Any suggestions?

The goo.gl URL shortener will make a QR code if you append a .qr at the end of the URL.

http://goo.gl/n6Bul
http://goo.gl/n6Bul.qr

And it'll track clicks, but that's pretty basic.

My company is going to use these shortly as well. We don't expect anything to come from it, just something fun to try.

I'm working on my book to get an entry-level copywriting position, and I've been looking into these as well. I thought it was be a good, fun idea to get people to go to my website to see further ideas I have.

Wolfram Alpha can generate QR codes and let you experiment with the various error correction levels and such. For example, you can enter "qr code for www.yahoo.com" and get usable output.

Thanks for starting this thread - now I have something new to play with!

That is actually pretty cool. I might see if we can work something like this into our next batch of brochures or reports from work to see if anyone uses it. In our industry, I doubt it will be much use, but they are trying to work in social media and smart phones into our strategic planning, so they probably will be willing to give it a try.
