I have Oblivion for the PS3 but never really got into it. This thread has me tempted. Is Skyrim heads and tails improved over Oblivion, or is Oblivion worth sinking the time into first?
From what I gather the story lines don't really intersect, so would I be missing much if I jumped to Skyrim? If they are about the same graphics and gameplay wise, I'd probably just do up Oblivion first.

heads and tails above Oblivion. character models, gameplay, leveling and skill system, the story, everything is better. and while Oblivion is referenced in a few side quests, Skyrim takes place 200 years later and doesn't have anything to do with the events in that game

You get a bonus for being well rested, but I don't get that anymore since I'm a Werewolf now.
On the plus side of that I don't worry about disease either.
People keep asking me if that's fur growing out of my ears though.

i'm curious, if you change into werewolf form and then enter a town, proceed to tear it up and then leave before you change back, do you still get bounty?

Not sure, never tried it. I don't think you do, I read the rules around that, but I can't remember for sure.

Clairvoyance is such a waste, the quests are already marked on the map. Yes it shows you the proper path, but I believe the spell is free. Drops off a mob.

Nope, you just pine after some random chick and are sad about shiny vampires. Really disappointing TBQH.

I found it inside a bandit cave. Same place every time.
It also helps out a lot if the minimap fails to provide help with navigating a dungeon.

Any PS3 owners download the Patch last night? Couldn't play, so I have no idea if it was even released for Canada or if it helped. Just wanted to see if any of you had any opinions.

Damn. Some of you guys are putting way too much effort into making the most totally awesome radical super sweet powerful explosion weapon of mighty rape. My sneak is 100, and I have the nightingale armor. I can sneak right in front of somebody and dagger attack them for the kill. I even snuck up on Morokei and killed him.

I think you're missing the point of the game.

Until I stopped playing Oblivion, my goal was to make the most totally awesome radical super sweet powerful explosion spell of mighty rape. My final version (when my destruction maxed) was named "Tactical Nuke"

To do whatever you want and have fun? I'm killing it with all the fun I'm having. You can't even comprehend the amount of fun that's up in this bitch. My entire goal was to be a silent assassiny guy. Mission accomplished.
