Hershel looked like he also knew that that was coming. He looked upset but almost relieved that it happened the way it did. It will be interesting to see how the situation turns out once the season begins again. I don't know what I'm gonna do for 2 and a half months or whatever it is until it begins again.
So did Herschel find her and put her in the barn, or did she go in there and hide? I figure cause she didnt get eaten completely they found her.
Just saw the sneak peek at what the next episode will bring and...
Spoiler!
...apparently Hershel didn't know she was in there. He claimed that Otis put many walkers in there and that he must have been the one that found her and put her in there.

Wow. For a show that has really been hit and miss, they definitely "hit" with that episode. That was a pretty gripping ending.

That was nothing short of amazing. This is why I don't have a problem with slower moving episodes, thepayoff was outstanding. The two zombie kills that Shane made with the ones one the dog collars aasepic. I laughed and smiled so much. The look on rick's face as his zombie Crumbled to the ground was great. Glenn looking at Maggie for approval was well done too.
And Hershel poor sweet stupid Hershel...the heartbreak was all over his face.
Glad rick was the one to finish the job.

The thing that got me about that whole ending was that Shane ended up being right. They needed to kill the walkers in the bar and to stop searching the woods for the missing girl and worry about securing the farm.
Rick spends so much time trying to be the peace maker and diplomat for the group and appeasing Herschel that he missed the important things. They killed the walkers and found the missing girl in there, too.
Very interesting show down coming, which should be slightly different from the comic but they are really developing Rick into the soft hearted diplomat, and Shane being the callus back-stabber. You'd like to think that the group will follow/believe Rick and Dale, but with Shane being right with his tangent, you really don't know...
