Now if we could swing Bourque for Rattie, that'd make me twice as happy. Rattie has three goals so far tonight for Portland.

Take Bourque, St. Louis!

Switzerland's group games at the WJHCs are in Calgary, so we should get to see plenty of him in December.

Isn't the Q a better league than the WHL? (serious question)

I thought the W was a lot more defensive and the Q was all offense with some good goalies.

Also need to show some love for Max Reinhart. He leads the Ice in points, and the Ice are first in the league. Who said the Flames don't have good prospects?

No.

At least not, imo.

The WHL is known to have the best defence of the 3 leagues while the Q is known for scoring and a lack of defence.

The Q has been known as an offensive league, while the WHL is more of a defensive league.

Already been mentioned but not really. The Dub is the defensive league in the CHL.

Not even close to as good as the WHL.

Once every 5-6 years the top team in the QMJHL is able to compete with the OHL and WHL after the other teams stock them with the best players in the league but overall the Q is clearly a step below the WHL and the OHL.

Don't forget Michael Ferland. 6th in WHL scoring. 42pts in 28 games.

He hasn't been doing so well the last few games. I don't know if he stopped playing with stone or it's something else, but he's not lighting it up to the same level as earlier. He was 3rd in WHL scoring for one day.

The Saddledome will be conspicuously pro-Swiss this Christmas.

So far this season, Sven has...
  • 0 points in 2 games
  • 1 point in 4 games
  • 2 points in 2 games
  • 3 points in 7 games
  • 4 points in 4 games
Crazy stats.

This is your answer. The Q has a reputation for stacking the top 1/2 teams at the trade deadline. The WHL is more physical than the OHL, but there isn't any discernible difference in talent.
