I know nobody gives a crap about the CIS, but McMaster's kicker absolutely botched the kick to win the Vanier Cup. We're going to OT

FYI there's a CIS thread on the forum:

But it has been a great game.

GLORIOUS DAY! 7 freaking years I've been waiting to tell my Ohio friends to suck it. I am not being a gracious winner in the slightest. Turnabout is fair play.

Yep we have waited 7 years to beat the Suckeyes. What a game.
Michigan finishes with 2 players rushing over 1000yds
Robinson at QB and Toussaint at RB on the year thats amazing.
Robinson stats were impressive vs Ohio even though he still isn't a reliable passer.
170 yd rushing 2 TD and 3 TD Passing!

All right all you anti playoff types who claim playoffs will make regular season meaningless. Only two games this weekend had any bearing on deciding the nc and no games next week including the conference championships have any relevance.
We now have over a month of meaningless games leading up to the big rematch that no one wanted to see. Awesome!

Those other teams should have picked better games to lose

Not to mention we now have a NC game that has already been played this season....rendering that "game of the year"...useless when all is said and done....and also the #1 teamplays next week while the #2 team who already lost at home to #1 gets to rest an extra 7 days. Stellar system for sure.
I see that coaches have started to fall....Ron Zook and Turner Gill both out.

an extra 7 days rest? Do you know how dumb that sounds? The championship is being played JANUARY 9th! It's not being played in two weeks.

Yes i realize how stupid it sounds...because the whole damn thing is stupid. Its not the extra 7 days...its LSU having to play a game that week while Bama doesnt...exposing players to injury.
No game for 45 days...i wonder what they could have filled some of those 6 weeks with?

Another game = more exposure, a chance to win the conference title which and more money (although I'm not positive how the conference championships money is divided among the participants).
Conference titles are extremely important, they are usually the teams main goal at the beginning of the season. It's the more realistic goal. The NC is just bonus.

And also why are people so against a rematch? Rematches happen all the time in playoff scenarios. Why not watch the best two teams play again instead of some made up game?
I remember the Giants playing the last game of the year against the Patriots to try and break the perfect season. That was a great game. Then they met again in the Super Bowl and that was one of the great games as well!

In a little bit of an ironic twist, I believe that LSU would actually make more money by losing the SEC championship, as it would get a third SEC team in a BCS game which sends more money to the conference. And you'd get an uncomfortable scenario where you have two teams from the same conference in the NC, neither of which is the conference champion!

Why do they do that?
Although there are 3 weeks between semifinal and final.

The same reason basketball season doesn't stop for finals.
It's not an issue.

I guess it's not an issue! I always thought it was part of it.
That would be weird though if for example I was a basketball cheerleader and during exams I had to travel everywhere to perform.
