go to the weapon in your inventory, press T (PC), then select the gem to use; different size gems recharge it a different amount. For consoles just look at the bottom of the inventory screen, there's a "recharge" button, don't know what it is.
What's the catch? It's pretty much twice as good as any other weapon I had and it's not like it was difficult to get.
The Daedric artifacts are usually among the most powerful in TES games and you can normally get at least a few of them early on. Usually the combat-based quests are more challenging.
Uniques normally increase in level (up to level 30). I wait until then to do most of the daedric quests so I've got the best possible version of them.
For about 15mins; I even wandered off to the fridge to get a drink while she kept getting slaughtered.
Awesome.
Normally the companions are pretty good about traps, but I found one or two that I couldn't get past without my companion getting launched off a bridge or something

i'm past level 30 and have gotten a few Daedric weapons from quests, but they don't come close to my Daedric warhammer that i crafted (225 base damage). course they all seem to be one handed weapons which are worthless to me since i'm specced two handed

There are at least two uniques you can get via the Daedric quests, but I don't think uniques can be improved, so they'll never match the base damage of your self-crafted daedric weapons after improving them.
I'm assuming Volendrung makes another appearance in Skyrim...
everything including dragons and giants gets one shotted. and if i get surrounded by a large group of enemies, i do a sideways power attack which takes em all out in one swing. thanks to a stone i touched which gave me 25% magicka resistance as well as the stuff on my own armor, even mages can't touch me
if you focus in the right areas this game really does make you feel like a powerful SOB that's for sure

Just had the most anticlimatic end to the College of Winterhold you could imagine:
Spoiler!
Morokei: I ran back to the gates that led you in and shut them in his face. He never figured out how to open them and I lobbed fireballs at him, damaging him with slash damage, until he died
so a buddy of mine posted this on another forum i frequent. apparently his character has a bit of a hoarding issue, and has taken a trophy from every person he's killed thus far
Spoiler!
