Default Accounting Software for Mac

Does anyone have suggestions they can share about personal accounting software that can run on a Mac? Quickbooks for Mac turned out to be an option that did not work for my accountant, and Intuit doesn't guarantee that the PC version will run in Parallels. My old Simply Accounting 2004 seems to run in Parallels, but it can no longer be registered so I need to replace it.

If anyone is so inclined, any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

It runs fine in virtualization. If Quickbooks on a PC is the easiest thing for your accountant, I'd just go with that and not worry about virtualization.
