Not with a bang but a whisper.

You managed to alienate the people that you thought you were representing.

And now, by tomorrow, the park will be as if you never existed.

In a way that's kinda sad.

I can't call them occupyer's since they only had a handful of people there at night and the rest probably went back to their warm homes. In the end, they were pretty much posers who pretty well trashed the park.

Their continued demands for free stuff made them look like self entitled brats.

75% of the 99% are probably glad that they're gone.

Occupy Calgary posed and blustered and cried and whined and confused, but at the end of the day they accomplished nothing.

Good riddance.

Sounds like it's pretty much wrapped up.

By-law officers only took unoccupied tents.

So some still down there with "occupants".

Sounds like the hardcores are still left. Google that Aaron Doncaster guy. Sounds like he's a professional protestor. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Bylaw took a lot of stuff - that truck looked pretty full.

So police went in and dismantled "Unoccupied Calgary". Good on 'em. Now it's time to get the rest out of there.

What a drain on bylaw and police resources these protestors are.

Listening to the radio on the drive in it appears as though more tents have been donated overnight and set up again. Grrrr.

The occupiers are also planning to march on city hall today.

This is the slippery slope that people were afraid of. Because they were left alone for so long and basically allowed to camp there it has strengthened their resolve. When they leave the plaza to march on city hall the bylaws officers should swoop in and dismantle any unoccupied tents.

*Sigh* it's great the city finally stepped in and did something. But it's clear last night's actions weren't the end of this circus just yet. But having said that, Plaza is looking better already.

A fool and his money... Some idiots possibly donate more tents to stand empty, which the city will similarly impound.

The court injunction will be the end of it. While I am certain that our bylaws are different than that of Toronto, that decision, wrt section 1 of the charter will certainly be heavily used here. When the same result happens, the slippery slope reaches an abrupt end.

It's no coincidence that the city moved in so soon after the Ontario court decision.

Honestly, some people don't know when to quit. Montreal and Quebec City have already given their "occupiers" the boot, and Toronto and Victoria have both issued eviction notices and it's only a matter of time.

I hope these clowns in Calgary DO march on city hall today. It will be entertaining to see what kind of drivel they are spouting this time.......and maybe bylaw can get the rest of the tents out of their while the idiots are on parade.

Laws are imposed by those "with money"? Seriously?

LOL...greed based economy? WTF does that even mean?

These people have uttered some surprisingly coherent and good ideas at times, but the stupid that can come out so overshadows the good.
