Im dissapointed. The stats didnt show it, but Cutler was a huge part of that option behind Forte, and was really getting into a groove in the passing game. As bad as it sounds, this is why QBs shouldnt chase down interceptions if D-linemen are setting up lead blocks.
I am not giving up hope yet, as it sounds like he could be ready for the playoff push and I think Chicago's defense, special teams and running game is enough to carry them over some of the weaker teams they have left on the schedule.
They have done it before with Orton and Grossman, and Hanie isnt horrendous by any account as shown by last seasons NFC Championship.
However, I was looking forward to the Bears possibly ending the Packers' perfect season,, which now looks hopeless.

Another huge divisional win this week for the Ravens.
I have a bad feeling about traveling out to San Fran for the Thursday night game. It just seems like another letdown game in the making.
Torrey Smith is emerging as a star receiver with each passing week...

The Raiders haven't been healthy all year and have been starting rookies and undrafted players in the secondary all season, losing their starting QB for the season, Matt Shaughnessy lost for the season, starting RB for 4 games, only one receiver has started every game this year. DHB was carted off yesterday and Seymour could only play a few downs. Maybe the long training camps and preseason is more important than originally thought as injuries have always been part of the game but this year some teams are being depleated.

The injuries at the QB position for teams in the mix for Division title/playoff berths stands out to me. Seems like the more they put rules in to protect QB's...the more injuries that occur at the position. Between injuries and ineptness at the position there's already 17 teams who've had to use more than one player at the position by the time next week's games start.

Denver is one game i have penned in as a win for the Bears, and they could do it Tebow style. Without throwing a pass.
The Bears defense has shown time and time again that it can completely immobilize scrambling quarterbacks (4-0 vs Vick) and their style of play. There is no way the Broncos and their college football offense will put up enough points against the Bears to win, even with a backup QB in.

Disagree...they will lose one, probably two games...but it was never going to be to the Bears at Lambeau.

Its tough to say letdown game against a 9-1 team. It should be a great game, as these are what the Ravens tend to step up for,but I guess you could see junk Ravens too

With those two defenses, the over/under might come in at 27.

How's that? I just thought it was interesting that you were defending Tebow and never afforded Vince Young that same defense even though he had more proven results in the stat you used to defend Tebow. Thought it was a bit odd. I do think Young will get another shot to be a starter in this league, but what he does with it who knows.

I think they had a pretty good shot at it. Over the past 2 seasons, nobody has allowed fewer points to the Packers then the Bears, and the Bears are the only team with a winning record against Aaron Rodgers. The wide recievers and Cutler were actuully starting to hit a stride together and with Forte being one of the best in the league, I think they had all the dynamics to have a good shot at it, especially as the Bears defense is much better rounded then the Packers' has been for the majority of the season.
This is far from the same team that the Packers saw earlier this season

Im not defending tebow....read it when i say the guy wont be an NFL QB....doesnt mean that what he is doing right now isn't worthy of praise though. The guy is winning...period. Thats it and thats all...i highly doubt it continues much longer but I wont count him out as his character is what seperates him from a Vince Young type guy.

Confirmed the Cutler will need surgery, will be out 6-8 weeks. Bears will keep him off the I.R in hopes he can return for the playoffs

No way? Unfortunately I dont think it is the 'college football offense' that will be of primary concern for the Bears.
I wouldn't compare Tebow to Vick. When Tebow is running it is almost always a designed run. the win against the bears would be a bonus for sure and a tall order but I don't think I'm out of line saying that you're a little bit over confident.

What about trying to "make it rain" at a strip club and then getting into a fight doesnt shout out character to you? yeah Vince Young is a piece of work, if the Giants played even a halfway decent game, Young with his 3 picks is the goat. In spite of Vince proclaiming he will win a Super Bowl and be in the Hall of Fame, its not going to happen.

Saints/Lions game in week 13 just got flexed to Sunday night, love it. That's back to back primetime games for the Saints, which is great because they always seem to play their best games in those ones. Especially at the Dome.
Giants & Lions back to back, should be a couple air shows.

So it is. For some reason I had it in my head it was out west.
The battle of the Harbaugh's should be entertaining. I hope Ray Lewis is back in the lineup this week.

49ers are fairly healthy, but starting right tackle Anthony Davis hurt his ankle yesterday and the short week may not give him a chance to come back. He has really played well this year since a shaky rookie season.
And rookie FB Bruce Miller sustained a concussion but the back up is 11 year vet Moran Norris, so that isn't as big a loss.

His off the field issues really aren't that bad. I mean Big Ben has way worse off the field character issues. It's how he reacted to a bad situation in Tennessee that is the issue. To his credit he went to Philly to repair his reputation, let's see if he actually has learned. And you think "making it rain" at a strip club is a character issue? If so, 3/4 of professional athletes and musicians have character issues. One of the interceptions wasn't his fault and should have been pass interference, but it doesn't matter.
