And just like that, the Giants are back in it. How does Asomugha lose Cruz that badly in the endzone? Isn't he supposed to be the 2nd best CB in the NFL?

Eagles should have went for it on 4th and inches. Is the 4th quarter going to be their nemesis again?

Absolutely disgusting how many holding calls the Giants linemen have been getting away with. Directly lead to a tying score on that drive.

Don't be that guy. The Eagles have just screwed themselves all game. DeSean and his BS penalty, Young proving he isn't an NFL QB, they're just hosed. Hopefully McCoy can rip off a few runs.

I'm not saying they deserve to win but the big play right before the TD was clearly holding.

Really? I think they've been the better team for most of this game, they just keep shooting themselves in the foot. Just need to finish some drives here and stop taking points away from themselves.
Very curious to see what VY does on this drive, moving the ball pretty well so far.

Nice drive here by the Eagles moving the chains on third down. What do they do to finish it here?

Well Young comes thru in the 4 th quarter with a big drive, making plays on third down. Another guy who seems to be able to make plays to win games.

Eli looks like he's getting happy feet back there, I haven't seen him this flustered in awhile. I hope we can get this kind of pressure on him next week.
...and of course, just as I critique him, he picks up a 50+'er.
...and as I say that, he coughs it up. Pretty well game over, barring a DeSean Jackson-like miracle by the Giants.

Man, McCoy is so slippery, love that guy. He's pretty much everything I wanted Reggie Bush to be when the Saints drafted him.
Huge win by the Eagles (as they all will be from here on out). Another big test against the Patriots next week. Win that one, and suddenly the schedule is pretty favourable the rest of the way out. The question is if the defence can get up for those games as well as they did tonight for a divisional prime time game. They were jacked up tonight.

I am not saying either guy is a good nfl qb, because they aren't. But its pretty hard to discredit tebow right now based solely on his record...what's vy's record this year?
|
1-0 and 31-17 all time...
And you were bashing him while he was a starter, why does Tebow not get the same treatment?

I don't see Dallas or New York doing better than 10-6, so the Eagles could steal the division if they win out.

Denver could have a serious inside track on the 2nd AFC Wildcard spot. Wins against the Bengals and Jets. Potential win against the Bills too given how they look right now. I think 9-7 would do it. If they can beat KC with Shane Falko at QB, the Bills, Vikings, plus one more against the reeling Chargers, Cutler-less Bears they might do it. Fart..8-8 might be good enough in the AFC. I can see the likes of Cincy, Buffalo, and the Jets losing games to someone they shouldn't.

I think 9 will be the minimum. There are a few teams sitting with ~5 wins right now, and I'm sure at least one of them will manage to string some wins together.

I was bashing Young? How's that? By stating he was never starter material in the NFL? OK...well guess what? He isnt, which is why he is a backup on the Eagles and was let loose by a team that had no other options at the time.
Niether guy will be a long time starter in the NFL because neither guy has the abilities needed, albeit for different reasons....though Young has all the tools to be good, but that tool box is questionable.
But if we want to play that game, Tebow has 4 times as many wins, this season.
Your Texas goggles are getting thicker as the years go on, I will give you that.

Tough break for the Bears...Cutler was really starting to look like he had gotten over the nonsense that seemed to follow him everywhere and the bears O line was playing at an NFL level for the first time in a long while.

I said here last year when he was still a Raider that he was a little overrated and that he would probably get exposed more on another defense. He's a very good CB but not on the same class as Revis and maybe not even top 5 in the league. Just because teams wouldn't throw in his direction doesn't mean he is the 2nd best CB in the league in fact Stanford Routt performed better than Aso when the ball was thrown in their direction last year which is why Davis gave Routt the big deal and didn't even offer Aso a deal. It doesn't help that the Eagles probably aren't using him to his strengths (mostly man coverage) and don't employ a real defensive coordinator but the fact is teams are throwing in his direction more now and he's getting beat just like he got beat at times when teams decided to throw in his direction last year.
He's a good CB and a really good teammate and the Raiders probably miss is presence in the locker room as much as anything. Maybe the Eagles will wise up in the offseason and hire a real DC and Aso can be put in a position to succeed.

Good break (no pun intended) for the Raiders though as I had next week's game penciled in as a home loss to the Bears. Now especially if DMC returns hard to imagine the Bears travelling West and beating the Raiders with Caleb Hanie starting. Maybe it's me but I can't recall a year with so many players going down to injury. The Raiders haven't been healthy all year and have been starting rookies and undrafted players in the secondary all season, losing their starting QB for the season, Matt Shaughnessy lost for the season, starting RB for 4 games, only one receiver has started every game this year. DHB was carted off yesterday and Seymour could only play a few downs. Maybe the long training camps and preseason is more important than originally thought as injuries have always been part of the game but this year some teams are being depleated.
