Hate these jerseys.

Guess I'm probably the only one who loves the current ones (minus the gaudy maple leaf on the arm)

They are from there. The font and colour is like that almost exactly, though the jersey style might be different. The hat logo is also slightly different as well.

Blue Jays have interest in Jonathan Broxton.

Blue Jays have inquired about Ryan Madson.

AA will probably kick the tires on a bunch of guys.

If the jays were to get madson, it would only make sense if Fielder was to immediately follow.

I'd be shocked if Fielder ended up in Toronto.

Me too but I don't see AA giving up a 1st round pick for a reliever.

I think the relative value of draft picks have dropped. Of course they're always valuable, but the Jays have had a very successful draft and a lot of high ceiling prospects in a similar age group.

Maximizing the quality of next year's roster should be a priority when making decisions this off-season.

Definitely agree, but relievers are so interchangeable that you could likely get similar production out of Broxton, Nathan and another non comp pick reliever as you would with getting Madson and another reliever or 2.

I don't see the point in giving up assets unless there is a significant gain to be made, say with fielder. Madson IMO isn't enough of an upgrade to give up #17 in next year's draft. Giving up a 2nd though which would be in the 90's or so would be worth it.

Also, you can never have too many good prospects. While we are set and then some in the pitching, catching and OF positions, we pretty much have zero infield prospects at all outside of Hechivarria. This draft upcoming just happens to be rather deep in infielders coincidentally so we could stock up on pretty much the only area of weakness in our prospects without drafting for need per say.

The Jays would do well to get on the horn with the Marlins regarding Hanley Ramirez if Florida manages to sign Jose Reyes. He's young, signed to a decent contract, coming off a down year/injury (discount?) and is a stud talent. Seems like someone AA would really value.

If the Marlins do sign Reyes and start shopping Ramirez there will lots of teams lined up to get the guy, solid player. Just finished reading over on MLB trade rumors that there is some out there who believe the Marlins would move Ramirez to CF if they sign Reyes.

According to a report in the Toronto Sun, the Jays have asked the Rockies about Huston Street.

I would imagine Jose Reyes wants nothing to do with the Marlins if they trade Ramirez

The Jays claim Cole Kimball off the Rockies.

Basically a lesser David Purcey. Cheap potential option for the pen, or more likely a AAA arm.

Jays Sign RHP Jerry Gil

He used to be a SS but converted a couple years ago to a pitcher and hasn't been terrible.

Jose Molina has apparently signed with the Rays

Jays get a supplemental 1st round pick in exchange. If we get another Anderson, Comer, Norris, or Smith Jr with that pick, awesome.
