The eviction notices were not fines, there was no monetary value attached to them.
People were getting fined for the other bylaws that the police are trying to enforce.

Agreed. That's my issue too - why do you need to look like an anarchist in the process? Show your face if you really believe in the cause. If you're doing it right, a bandana on your face or whatever is not needed.

By-law services posted this yesterday, adds some clarity to process.

Animal and Bylaw Services Begins Enforcement Action
November 15, 2011 02:46 PM Category: Bylaws, City Services
Yesterday at 09:00, The City of Calgary Animal and Bylaw Services issued a 24-hour warning to Occupy Calgary protesters camped in Olympic Plaza. This warning demanded compliance with the Parks and Pathways bylaws by removing tents and materials.
Protesters have been camped in Olympic Plaza for approximately a month. Animal and Bylaw Services has worked closely with the Calgary Police Service, other City departments and business units monitoring the Occupy situation and issuing tickets for some bylaw infractions.
Today 42 notices were served, instructing campers to remove their tents and materials within 24 hours. These notices were served under the Parks and Pathways Bylaw Section 9.
Animal and Bylaw Services will return to assess whether or not the Occupy campers have complied and removed their tents and materials. The consequence of non-compliance will be an issued ticket. The ticket will not be for a set amount or fine; rather, infractions will incur a court appearance, at which a judge will determine a penalty.
This action is being taken as part of the enforcement policy to ensure that parks are safe and accessible to all Calgarians.

Anyone else have a family brick down at Olympic Plaza from the 1988 Olympics. Get these freaks off of my property and when I come down there next to check on our brick it better not be anywhere near where they were defeceting I do not consent to their defecating on or around our brick.

I think Muta and Ozy_Flame post on CP side by side on their couch and repeatedly high five each other after posting. Then realize that the high five is for lower level bipedal hominids. Giggle and proceed to adjust their monocles.

They were actually formal invitations to Set up tents in Nenshi's backyard.
or does he still live in his parents home. Seriously he was living with his parents when elected. Not sure now.
This is great seeing these defecating flakes pushing Barney to the brink.
Nenshi should be in a new reality series Nenshi vs
Nenshi vs New Born Baby
Nenshi vs Lady bug
Nenshi vs Puppy
Nenshi vs Cotton Ball
Nenshi vs Jello
Nenshi vs Sparrow
Nenshi vs Diane Colley Urqhart in Cage match. Nenshi would turtle after the first shot.
At this point it doesn't matter when they are forced out. The Occupy turd dropping fruit loops have already gotten the best of Prince Purple Jellyfish.

Mods, can you put this thread back on track? Seems like a fair handful are using it to call Muta and I out and derailing discussion, which is no different than the warning I got about calling First Lady out yesterday. It's clearly inflammatory and adds nothing more than yesterday's discussion did.

Yup. Final warning. This thread gets on track or it either is closed or will start handing out vacations.

I find it funny that some of the people who come in here and incessantly complain about the protest and it's objectives are griping about two posters complaining for a few pages about a counter protest and his objectives. Hypocrites, much? I agree, start a new thread and don't derail this one, but funny nonetheless.
Edit - Apologies, Jiri, I was working on this post as you posted the above. That's all I have to say.

Are you freaking kidding man? you started the whole process by demanding someone answer a question (about somebody else's motives that is part of the topic no less) that in the end.... is none of your f'n business.
Holy smokes the arrogance in your statement is preposterous.

Are you serious? Urqhart would want a report on how much the cage cost before the match even began! And then she'd want a review of that report. It'd be the longest cage match ever.
