Not very happy I found a glitch on the main quest and it seems the target is way too far to reach with bow and arrows.

The scary part is the game actually has an infinite number of quests. Not a good thing for my completionism.

I forgot about that.
Do you think that the generated quests are the ones that show up under Miscellaneous?

Not all Misc. Quests are generated ones. An easy example is "Find the Redguard Woman in Whiterun", which leads to a named quest.

Oh good, so I don't know if this random quest is an actual RANDOM quest, or if it's just a prelude to some quest that'll give me a bow that does 50 damage.
EDIT: I found a glass bow last night, haven't tried it yet though.

Where did you stumble across that? Don't need the quest or anything, just around what city?

I assume everyone has already seen this, but just in case, PCGamer has a top 10 mod list out: http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/11/14/th...m-mods-so-far/

The Mage's Guild, part of the quest line. I think that was it anyway.

What's better? A glass bow or an ebony bow? I found an ebony bow.

Ebony is more powerful. At least it was in Oblivion. Just check the damage stat of each and you should see.

So, playing the 360 version (can't mod), I discovered a pretty easy way to level a rogue...
Find someone that trains something you want to use (I picked the Archery Trainer in the Thieves Guild) and pay them to train a few levels. Then pickpocket your gold back.
Rinse. Repeat. Level.
I went from level 14 to level 30 last night in a couple hours, and now my Pickpocket is 100 and my Archery is 60-something.

Maybe I'm missing something, but isn't there a 5 skill-up limit from the trainers?

Yes it's a cheat, but I figure all it does is save fast travelling back and forth to a house and moving stuff around in a terrible inventory management system anyway.

My solution to this issue in Oblivion and yet still maintain some kind of game reality was to get a mod where I could call my companion or horse. Then I could call my horse to me if I was so weighed down that I couldn't move.

Can you still do the Oblivion trick where you go into a house at night and sneak walk into a wall beside someone sleeping (weigh down your forward key with a heavy object) and come back an hour later?

Ah I broke this game by level 34 (Dragonplate set made), even on Master difficulty it's too easy now. Decided that a one-handed/shield warrior would be pretty good, and I was very right. Have 1042 armour rating right now and a 164 dmg Ebony Mace (stacking one-handed attack enchantments on my ring/neck/boots/gloves, plus 100% increase from one-handed mastery).
Giants can't touch me with their power attacks, in fact that's how I power leveled my blocking the fastest. Dragons, even elder dragons, get one-rounded once they land, I just position myself to force them to, don't bother shooting. Whole crowds of humans can't touch me. My only threat are mages, but they die quickly enough when I charge through the crowd and destroy their unarmoured ass. I rolled an Orc too, and if I ever actually do feel in trouble, berserker rage will end them all with double damage. I'm rich too, I found the dragon priest mask that increases prices by 20% early on (20-ish), found another 20% price neck later on, and with enchanting you can add the worth to any weapon by 400 gold.
Focused on, in order of importance:
-Heavy Armour (100% armour mastery, 25% bonus for all heavy armour, 25% bonus for matching set, and conditioning are best)
-Blocking (40% blocking mastery, power+disarming bash, elemental block, sprinting bash all sweet)
-Smithing (Very easy and cheap to power level, just make hide bracers (only need leather) or iron daggers (iron/leather strip). Crafting everything gives about the same XP from what I saw, just need more of it each level. Made me OP when I made a full Orcish set by like 20.)
-One Handed (One handed mastery 100%, and mace mastery to ignore 75% armour are incredible)
-Enchanting (Longer to level but I make mad money with it, enchanting pays for itself if you learn the right ones, you can buy soul gems off the vendor and make money. Nearly hit 100 on it and when I do, GG double 100% enchantments.)
Once I find two more Daedra Heart's it'll be a full set of that and ridiculous. To make armour/weapons really well first enchant a smithing improvement set (chest/gloves/ring/neck) with grand soul gems. Stack enchanter's improvement potions when you do it too. Then once the set is crafted, double improve it while wearing smithy gear and stacking blacksmithing improvement potions and you will nearly double the armour rating/weapon damage.

That's 5 skill up per level. So when they improve you from level 14 to level 15, you can buy 5 more skills.

Yeah there's a 5 skill-up limit per level.
Even easier is to find someone who follow you who also does training (the Companions for example), you can train and then take the $ back out of their inventory lol.
And if we're talking about cheap skill leveling, there's a guy named Ungrien at the Black-Brier Meadery in Riften, if you pursuade him (have to have 25) you get speech, and you can keep doing it (the option never goes away).
I've also heard that there's a horse you can get from some quest that is a combat target but never dies, so you can level up weapons, bow, destruction etc.
